职位描述
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and develop the organization’s Procurement strategy for related commodities with an in depth understanding of the market, supplier sourcing, risk and performance management.
- Must demonstrate a real understanding of the globally market, so that he/she will be able to identify new opportunities and innovation and ensure that these are exploited.
- Monitor world market environment to identify price risk and opportunity and propose right strategy.
- Develop an appropriate risk mitigation strategy through an appropriate supplier network maintaining continuity of supply whilst reducing risk within the supply chain as a whole.
- Lead, direct, and control the activities of procurements are in line with the group and achieve its short and long term financial and operating objectives as set by overall corporate business plans.
- Prepare and oversee budgets, plans, policies; and programs set by Business Units.
- Set, and monitor the performances of the Purchases activities against standards and targets in areas such as cost control; administrative efficiency; legal compliance; government regulation compliance and human resources management.
- Communicate with China government bodies to ensure new regulations will not affect operations and enjoy the most benefit.
- Liaise with other operations units across the group to ensure the adopted strategies and activities are integrated with other parts of the business and align with the overall corporate goals.
- This role is expected to help identify and screen suppliers, developing strategic relationships, negotiate terms and conditions, and continuously drive improved supplier service levels through leadership and direction on a cross functional basis.
- Prepares monthly reports of departmental activities, manages and reports on related program KPI's and metrics.
REQUIREMENTS
- 15 years of business experience with 10 years of procurement, supply and merchandise management experience.
- Practical experience in global commodity market and commodity procurement is required.
- Knowledge of financial terms and principles is preferable. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Proven organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Solid negotiation experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Lead procurement capability development across national teams.
- Experience in working with suppliers and government bodies in China and globally is required.
- Strong experience in and understanding of best practices in procurement.
- Travel to China is required.
