Major Responsibilities:

Define the product design architecture, design concepts to meet the customer specific requirements

Undertake concept designs, detailed designs, involving analogue and digital devices through engineering calculations

Complete schematics captures under company design guidelines and best practices;

Complete electronics DFMEA to ensure the robustness of the design

Attend ECAD input review with ECAD engineer and Mechanical engineer.

Lead or support application engineers to complete prototype builds, debugging and repairs

Service, repair or diagnose the electronics hardware when required during the product development stage as well as the Level 2/3 diagnosis for field returns.

Work closely with the manufacturing site for production support activities.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned on an ad hoc basis by the Chief Engineer.

Key Competencies:

Strong skills in theory and application of Resistive, Inductive, Capacitive (RLC) electronic analogue circuits

Strong skills in theory and application of digital electronics circuits;

Good knowledge of micro-processor architecture and application;

Proficiency in MathCAD for engineering calculation and worst case analysis, Matlab capability desirable

Proficiency in schematics capture tools, DxDesigner preferred

Good time management skills and communication ability with all level of people.

Good organizational and coordination skills; must be independent.

Willing to learn and develop, highly analytical, self-starter as well as decisive.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills;

Self-motivation and good interpersonal skills;

Technical automotive electronics knowledge desirable

6 Sigma Green Belt desirable

Good command of English language

Education and Experience:

Education: Bachelor or above in Electronics Engineering or Control Engineering

Experience: 3 years or above in electronics product test engineering role

Attributes: Motivated, dedicated and spontaneous
