Sourcing Manageer
Entry qualification
? BA or BS in Engineering, Supply Management, Business, or Operations Management or related field. MBA or professional certification desired, but not required.
? Minimum 3 years experience in a purchasing or manufacturing environment.
? Preferred 2 years specific commodity purchasing experience.
? Preferred 2 years ERP systems experience.
? Demonstrated leadership with the ability to gain support of other managers, staff and supplier staffs to implement change without direct supervisory control
? Demonstrated performance as a change agent with leadership and project management skills.
? Strong presentation and communication skills at all organizational levels.
? Experience with ERP and MRP systems, SAP preferred.
? Proficiency with various software applications (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Visio, etc.) Technical, metallurgical or engineering background helpful.
Responsibilities
? Must understand the financial impacts of recommendations and decisions.
? Advises his management on developments and issues with the assigned global supply chain/SME areas.
? Expected to make positive contributions, utilizing independent thinking to develop strategies and objectives to assist the organization and strategic suppliers in achieving key financial and operational goals.
? Requires ability to identify processes/procedures required to eliminate negative impacts.
? High degree of creativity needed to challenge and change current practices.
