职位描述
? This position will be located in Beijing and Gaomi, China. The geographic range of travel will be China.
? Summary: Responsible for providing support to Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Marketing and Field Service relating to quality assurance functions. The main function of the Quality Engineering II is to aid in analysis and development of processes and procedures that focus on quality development.
? As the technical expert on quality issues, the individual will interface with suppliers supporting processes related to material, manufacturing and engineering activities that support cost, quality and on time deliveries.
? Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
o Perform onsite quality reviews with suppliers.
o Perform audits of new and existing suppliers
o Support quality by performing first article inspections at suppliers.
o Interpret design engineering data (including drawings, bill of material, specifications) and any customer requirements.
o Develop quality plans that may be required for manufacturing or sourcing.
o Research and document quality improvements, cost-effective methods and process improvements.
o Develop procedures, work instructions and forms necessary to comply with the quality system.
o Lead internal/external audits, source inspections as necessary in the observance of the quality system requirements or evaluation of suppliers and their product.
o Investigate and implement special project assignments involving productivity and quality improvements relating to his/her specific areas.
o Support engineering and quality managers with customer interfaces as necessary on quality related issues.
o Facilitate cross-functional failure mode root cause investigation and corrective/preventive actions.
o Maintain quality records.
o Statistically track non-conformance.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
? Fluent in English and Mandarin is a language requirement.
? Proficient in MS office application. ASQ certification as Quality Engineering is desirable.
? Rquires technical knowledge of the basics of manufacturing, engineering and quality assurance.
? Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in the interpretation of drawing requirements.
? Working knowledge of six-sigma and lean manufacturing.
? Internal and external auditing experience. Work experience on large bore reciprocating engines and compressors is desirable.
? Experience with SAP R3 is desirable.
? Education/Experience: Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or an Engineering discipline is required.
? 2yrs minimum experience inspecting product using standard inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, CMM, indicators, etc.
? Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
