Position: Senior China Retail Logistics Analyst
Report to: China Logistics Manager
Location: Shanghai
GENERAL SUMMARY:
l Responsible for supporting the management of China logistics and trade compliance operations, encompassing inbound, customs clearance, distribution center processes, and outbound delivery to stores as operated by 3PLs. By collecting, analyzing and communicating key data, this position helps the logistics manager ensure 3PL on-time performance & KPIs are met, and successful strategies are developed and implemented.
l This role collaborates closely with other supply chain functions ( GIS, Production, IM, etc.), finance and other relevant internal business partners to ensure goal alignment and business success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
l Responsible for data collection, analysis and communication concerning all in-market logistics and trade compliance operations for China market as operated by contracted 3PLs. Measurements of success include logistics' reliability, cost effectiveness, and ability to support growth in stores and selling channels.
l Cross functional partnership in analyzing and sharing information that supports the development of efficient inventory flow plans, processes, service levels & strategies. Create and optimize operational process through cross-functional communication.
l Support the management of daily logistics and trade compliance functions and 3rd party logistics providers (3PL's) against service levels, cost and productivity KPI's. Maintain logistics and trade compliance strategies, SOPs, customs/CIQ regulations and international trade agreements to related business functions to ensure smooth & efficient logistics operations. Support new brand launching into China and HK market.
l Demonstrate and ensure absolute adherence to Code of Business Conduct as well as compliance with all local laws and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATION:
l University graduate with at least 5 years' experience in logistics management of which 2 year at senior analyst level.
l Experience in multi-national company; retail or consumer goods distribution is a MUST.
l China retail logistics operation knowledge (from inbound to DC to store), experience in working with 3PL and 3rd party distribution centre in warehousing & distribution in China or Asia is preferred.
l Familiar with China Customs & CIQ regulation, able to support managing China Customs & port CIQ relationship.
l Familiar with China import / export process, warehouse operation, logistics and operations.
l Familiar with auditing Customs entries and 3PL billings.
l Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
l Strong Integrity, self motivated, open-minded and ability to work independently and under pressure in multi-cultural environment with minimal supervision.
l Good at written & spoken English and Chinese.
l Strong computer skills such as those in Excel spreadsheets and other Microsoft office software applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Access database application preferred.
l Domestic (within China) & International travel is required (as necessary)
