POSITION: Application Technologist
DIVISION: Flavor
DEPARTMENT: Sweet Application
JOB PURPOSE
Provide laboratory-scale samples and production/technical support to both internal and external users. Project management and implementation
POSITION REPORTS TO: Application Manager
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Prepare prototype and illustration samples for customers, implementation and maintenance of stability testing, and support scale-ups for commercialization
- Provide technical support to both internal and external users
- Manage multiple project tasks independently to support workgroup members and manager to meet business objectives
- Good and timely communication with teams to work effectively
- Properly operate and maintain lab equipment, keep workplace clean and tidy
JOB RELATIONSHIP
Dealing with sales & marketing enquiries, understand their requirements and customers’ needs, providing processing and technical supports.
QUALICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Food Science/Technology or equivalent
- 2 years experience at least in food industry
- Knowledge of food ingredients, formulations and processing (alcoholic/tea/coffee application experience is preferred)
- Creative with an acute sense of taste and smell
- Team player with a positive attitude and practical approach to problem solving
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills both verbally and in writing, including documenting work accurately and timely into laboratory notebooks.
