Position Title : Resident Engineer/
Business/Function : Strategic Purchasing / Supplier Development
Reporting to : Head of Supplier Development
Location : Wei Hai

POSITION SUMMARY

The Resident Engineer acts as the “eye” for Wincor for all supplier related activities. Critically important to this function is ensuring quality products from OEM suppliers, working through potential product issues / changes with the OEM suppliers and the ability to drive the use of Six Sigma/FMEA tools in existing suppliers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performing audit on the suppliers to ensure that they are in compliant with the content of the Product Certification Report and in the case of source supplier or product safety component changes, prepare deviation report to the WN internal organization.
2. Responsible for monitoring and requesting quality and regulatory data from suppliers in regards to DPPM, %FPY, OBA, ORT, Life Test and product safety compliance
3. Managing control run activities, of which criteria are given by WN organization, in association with process changes (flow, sequence, location, people and machine). Observe and report on the control run results and findings
4. Participate in quality improvement projects that drive continuous improvement through utilization of tools such as DOE, Six Sigma, DMAIC, FMEA, SPC, 8D Root Cause Analysis, and Lean.
5. Verify ECO/PCO changes and the smooth implementations in production and the possible rework flow execution.
6. Onsite participation in the CM stop ship meeting and verify the corrective actions are implemented and the follow up actions after shipment is lifted.

REQUIREMENTS

Education
1. Bachelor of Science or degree in engineering discipline.

Skills and Experience
1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing preferably in retail and retail banking equipment, terminals and systems. 5 years’ experience as a supplier quality manager required.
2. Experience with FMEA /Six Sigma, process/product validations, control plans, continual improvement of elements of the quality system and regulatory compliance required.
3. Lead Auditor training and knowledge of advanced audit practices preferred
4. Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
