About the role

As a Strategic Sourcing – Senior Manager – Asia Marketing & E-commerce, you will dynamically lead the effective creation and execution of various Marketing (Media, Digital, Social, Mobile, Events, PR, Creative Agencies, Print, Production etc.) and E-commerce category strategies across Greater China and Japan Regions. You will work directly with suppliers/agencies on contracts, SOWs and develop KPIs. You will identify opportunities to drive value across your category. You will be responsible for developing key supplier and business partner relationships. You will lead projects at any point during their lifecycle from developing strategy, crafting a plan to implement, and executing.


What you'll do

  • Leads planning, implementation, and execution of sourcing strategy and shows drive for results resulting from Strategic Sourcing activities


  • Leads the development of business cases and cost/benefit analysis to be presented to stakeholders


  • Proactively identifies and recommends category sourcing options and partners with leaders to implement them


  • Leads the continuous improvement process for programs and offers ideas and assistance on programs across the department


  • Manages competitive RFXs, as necessary, and manages negotiation strategy development, overseeing or conducting the competitive negotiation process as needed


  • Builds relationships and effectively partners across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies and colleagues to influence change


  • Drives completion of simultaneous projects by proactively considering new alternatives and driving critical thinking to optimize results


  • Contributes significantly to the achievement of defined category performance targets


  • Supports the creation and implementation of programs to assess and promote supplier performance and development (e.g., establishing quarterly and annual goals, conducting quarterly business reviews, formal scorecard measures)


  • Collaborates with senior functional leaders to establish both short and long-term business objectives


  • Leads, coordinates, and facilitates global, cross-functional teams to achieve category strategy objectives


  • Manages rigorous analysis in order to scope and prioritize new sourcing opportunities within project areas


  • Supports the development of plans for implementation and change management for projects


Who you are

  • 8+ years of experience in management consulting, strategic sourcing or Marketing Agency/ E-commerce operator


  • Strategic Sourcing knowledge and the ability to regularly leverage industry experts, associations, peers and stakeholders to identify and benchmark best practices


  • Proven project management experience; excellent planning and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to change


  • Proven ability in managing $ multi Million USD spend in marketing and E-commerce categories with experience of (Media, Digital, Social, Mobile, Events, PR, Creative Agencies, Print, Production etc.) in an omni-channel environment


  • Able to influence people up to board level (ability to interact with all organizational levels and demonstrate a professional presence)


  • Ability to manage initiatives and relationships on a global level


  • Strong problem-solving analysis and decision-making skills; drive for results


  • Strong negotiation skills


  • A team player and self-starter (highly motivated, results focused and act with a high sense of urgency)


  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships across multi-functions


  • Ability to think innovatively and maintain flexibly while limiting company risk


  • Demonstrated understanding of financial controls, risks and mitigation.


  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills (ability to communicate and document complex processes in a clear and concise manner)


  • Fluent English speaker
