Global Supply Chain Logistics Asia Market Senior IT Manager(focus on Asia – Japan, Shanghai and Hong Kong)

Group/Domain Statement: The Global Supply Chain Logistics Domain owns the end-to-end-technology footprint to deliver projects that support business capabilities including Order Management, Global Trade Management, Distribution, Warehouse Management, and Transportation.
Position Statement: The Asia Market Technical Leader role is to interpret information about business needs, and apply knowledge to technology design, development and support by effectively working with our 3PL WMS partners and cross GapTech Domains as required. During initial phases of the solution development life cycle, the technical leader understands and clarifies alternatives, documents requirements and stories, and investigates process and integration issues. The technical leader in particular will contribute to analysis around technology strategy, new capabilities and mission critical applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Liaison
? Owns and actively manages relationships with the 3PL WMS vendors influencing product roadmaps and securing commitments for the inclusion of new capabilities required to support Gap, Inc enterprise strategies in future releases. Ensures that Gap, Inc. maximizes its ROI on packaged software purchases.
? Establishes a strong relationship of credibility and partnership with the Logistics Integration Services teams within the Logistics Supply Chain business as well as the Corporate Systems and Services domains and Finance leaders and cross-functional IT teams.

Projects/Support (end-to-end accountability)
? Accountable for overseeing the delivery disciplines that ensure consistency of process, methodologies and tools that are deployed within Logistics Integration Services.
? Provides end-to-end project lifecycle oversight and management that includes the phases involving demand management, discovery/explore, requirements gathering in partnership with Business and Product Management teams, project planning, design, build, testing, deployment and production support.
? Builds and executes the business area technology strategy/roadmap and identifies and delivers operational excellence initiatives.
? Manages the technology product portfolio for 3PL and integration capabilities compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other Gap, Inc. security and compliance policies.
? Identifies and design of best practice business processes to support the enterprise-wide Logistics Integration Services strategy and key enterprise initiatives. Actively provides input to the Logistics Integration Services team as related business process development and technical feasibility studies in the ongoing refinement of enterprise and brand processes.
? Provides effective team management and change leadership approach in driving continuous improvements and innovation to drive higher predictable delivery assurance, consistency and predictable quality to realize measurable productivity results from identified improvement initiatives across Logistics Integration Services and the end to end Supply Chain.
? Contribute subject matter expertise that can be incorporated into domain roadmaps, capability assessments, and other end-to-end views of supply chain technology.
? Function as a trusted partner, collaborator, and communicator.

QUALIFICATIONS:
? Strong understanding of the Agile Software Development Lifecycle and development methodologies
? Solid understanding of IT applications – packaged and custom developed solutions, infrastructure and operational components especially applications involved in the Deployment of the following: 3PL logistics integration with partners in 3PL WMS (such as DHL, DBS, Kerry) and ecommerce (such as TMall, eFashion and ZoZo)
? Technical expertise and understanding on how to support a multi-environment development and platforms, integration methods and tools, reporting and delivery in a Global Supply Chain systems environment.
? Practical expertise and experience in state of the art Logistics Integration Services using simple configuration architectures, working with industry best practices and vendors.
? Strong hands-on experience and understanding of project implementations, project structure (both formal and informal), project life-cycle, and best practice project standards (scope, timeline, and budget) with significant integration practices and methodologies.
? 7 -10 years in functional/technical roles.
? Demonstrated ability to communicate business requirements, solution options, and problem statements clearly and succinctly.
? Passion for problem solving and critical thinking, used in working a broad range of issues across diverse technologies and business disciplines.
? Ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
? Speaks English and Mandarin
? Travel is required
