Responsibilities:

- HSE performance,commitment to Goal Zero;

- Contributing to reservoir engineering R&D and Innovation;

- Keep abreast of competitor,industry,and academic developments in reservoir engineering in general,and in China in particular;

- Personal accountability in the execution and delivery of one or more in-house R&D projects and one or more EMRs in China related to EOR and CO2 storage technologies;

- The successful candidates will be expected to develop in-depth reservoir engineering expertise in one or more of the following areas: designer waterflood mechnisms and modelling,novel EOR processes including chemical and gas/solvent injections,CO2 storage subsurface modelling,fluid PVT modelling for IOR/EOR processes.

Requirements:

- Awareness of multiple business and technology stakeholders in China, Asia Pacific region and globally.

- Build personal network of contacts with technical experts in Shell technology centres and awareness of techncial experts in Chese universities and industry.

- Work effectively with stakeholders in IRD.

- Contribute to the development of the technology portfolio in China for value delivery and maximum business impact.

- External focus: apply "open innovation" to technology delivery.

- PhD in Physics, chemistry or a related Engineering (chemical, petroleum, geotechnical, mechanical etc.)

- Track record of research and innovation demonstrated through publications or industry presentations

- Strong communication skills

- Chinese language skills a strong plus.
