Position Purpose

Elaborate vehicle logistics quality process to maximize damage free vehicle delivery through continuous improvement management of vehicle flows from port to dealers.

Elaborate logistics damage standard and claims process and manage supplier and dealer claims on time with stakeholders.

Key Roles and Responsibilities of Position

Lead Logistics Quality Management to continuously improve Damage Free Vehicle Delivery, supporting sustainable Lincoln and Ford volume growth.

Program Launch Support

- Work with FTC/PD/Quality etc to develop requirements for MCPS, vehicle protection, loose items etc for new program.

Manage Vehicle Delivery Quality and Dealer Claims Process

- Design, implement and measure quality control processes relating to the shipment of finished vehicles.

- Conduct logistics damage statistics analysis, and work with logistics suppliers / MFG Quality/ PD (Product Design) to identify root cause, and implement continuous improvement and corrective action activities.

- Manage dealer claims process for minor and major transportation damage through Ford system with Quality / Services / PD / Legal / Tax / Finance.

- Conduct on-site reviews and quality audits at distribution centers (ports, plants, etc.) on compliance to Ford standards (facility, operation etc).

- Conduct logistics quality training for logistics suppliers and dealers.

- Support MFG quality to track damage vehicle repair status.

Manage Vehicle Import Quality and Carrier Claims Process

- Conduct regular business meetings with ocean carrier and port inspector.

- Lead external quality personnel to manage on time ocean claims to carrier.

- Work with ocean carriers, FTC (Ford Trading Company), NAVL (North America Vehicle Logistics) and Plants to implement continuous improvement and corrective action activities.

- Interface with FTC, PD and Engineering on vehicle protection/loose item management etc to operation improvement.

Standard coordination and deployment

- Interact with regional/global teams and participate in global discussions/alignment of standards

- Implement standards where applicable into Lincoln operation

- Conduct audit on compliance to standards
