Job Description
Lead completion of environmental deliverables for Powertrain Operations (PTO) new programs at new and existing facilities. Ensure new programs comply with environmental regulations at new and existing Ford manufacturing facilities. Support Ford global environmental initiatives and programs in Asia Pacific.
Roles and responsibilities to include:
·Lead completion of environmental deliverables for Powertrain Operations (PTO) new programs at new and existing facilities.
·Lead global environmental programs for PTO plants in Asia Pacific including sustainability ratings, 5-year planning, and project bundling.
·Support implementation of Ford Environmental systems at new and existing facilities including the Environmental Operating System (EOS), Global Best Practices and compliance assurance procedures. Coordinate with Plant Management to verify data used to develop plant-specific EOS reports.
·Ensure new or modified facilities (tanks, wastewater and storm water treatment, emission controls, etc.) meet minimum Company environmental standards.
·Evaluate facility performance on AP Manufacturing Environmental Business Plan metrics, targets and objectives. Develop and implement action plans as necessary to achieve goals. Coordinate plans with and communicate status to regional, division, and plant management.
·Provide environmental training to launch and plant engineers on new program environmental requirements

Qualifications
Education:
College or university degree, with emphasis in environmental, chemical, civil, or the physical sciences. Advanced degree in one of these fields is highly desirable
Professional Experience:

5-7 years of environmental engineering experience required. Experience in a manufacturing or chemical industry is required. Experience related to engine and transmission machining and assembly is preferred. Environmental management system and compliance assurance program experience is also preferred.
Preferred previous experiences:
Proven results in supporting facility and product programs with activities such as equipment reviews, supplier audits, permit applications, planning studies, emission calculations, and wastewater treatment.
Functional Skills:
Communication & Negotiation, Engineering Analysis & Problem Solving, Project Management, Technical and Regulatory Expertise. Must possess a working knowledge of Chinese national environmental regulations. Excellent reading, speaking, and professional writing skills in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English is preferred.
