Job Description

IT Infrastructure / Technology Architect is responsible for delivering large-scale, complex technology programs and integrating processes and technology to help client achieve robust develop, execution, operation and infrastructure architecture. The architect is responsible for designing robust infrastructure architecture and solution to meet client non-functional requirement. With solid knowledge on infrastructure solution and technology architecture, the architect can propose and evaluate the potential infrastructure and technology solution to client, design the detail mechanism, determine the most flexible and cost effective infrastructure and technology architecture.

Key responsibilities may include

Design the architecture management asset including framework, organization, process, approach, principle and template to enforce the architecture governance.
Analyze the non-functional requirement and propose the solution
Lead the technical team or vendors to deliver the technology solution, including draft and monitor the work plan, recognize and handle the risk, control the deliverable’s quality and resolve the technical issues.
Design development standard and guideline, development and test environment plan, test data preparation method, release management, configuration management, development environment specification.
Design robust and optimal technology solution in production environment to meet non-functional requirement e.g. performance, scalability, availability, management etc.
Design actionable solution for production environment operation includes backup and restore, DR, monitoring, archive and purge, operation model, error handling, and problem resolution etc.
Define the environment demand and supply organization, process and tools.
Evaluate and review the tech solution submitted by vendors during design, install, test and go-live phase.
Being recognized as an expert on infrastructure part.
Define the product selection standard and guideline, lead the technology evaluation and selection effort.
Plan and manage diagnosis and assessment activities and define high-level program/action plans
Plan and manage capacity planning activities.
Plan and manage program-wide technology build, test and deployment activities
Influencing client direction based on infrastructure and technology architecture design.
Establishing acceptance of designs with client executives.

Data Center Standard and Consolidation
Development Standard and Guideline
Server, Storage and Network Virtualization
Server and Storage Technology
Technology Trend includes virtualization, cloud, mobility, VDI etc.
Common Operating System include Unix, Linux and Windows
HA Solution
DR and BCM Solution
Database Technology
Middleware Technology
Network Technology
Technology Testing
Infrastructure Architecture
Performance Tuning Method and Technology
Infrastructure As A Service
IT Service Management

At least 2 years consulting firm experience.
At least 3-5 large scale infrastructure transformation and implementation projects experience in last 5 years.
At least 8 years working experience with 6 years focus on infrastructure architecture era.
Professional certification e.g. VMWare, Unix, Linux, ITSM, CCIE, TOGAF, OCP, OCM is preferred
BS in Computer Science or related, MS preferred
