POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering. At least 10 years shop experience. Strong experience and knowledge in machining and gear manufacturing or inspection. Basic knowledge in casting, forging, welding, heat treatment, NDE, testing etc. Mechanical Engineer or Quality Engineer ferred. Technical writing skills and understanding of inspection and manufacturing processes. Fluent English skills are a must. Computer literate. Diligent and serious-minded attitude to work. Capable of (1) Machining & gearing inspection (capable of using applicable machine shop measuring tools accurately); (2) NDT (especially UT, MT testing) witness; (3) Welding documentation review and approval (per SATM A488 or ASME Section IX or AWS D1.1 or other equivalents);
(4) Reviewing and approving various Material Test Reports (MTR'); (5) Reading and understanding mechanical engineering drawings and specifications. (6) Writing detailed inspection reports utilizing the English language.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Ensures compliance to quality requirements per Metso drawings and specifications.
Clarifies specifications and documents ensuring compliance to Metso specifications.
Communicate process inspection techniques to suppliers.
Participates in inspections in production processes.
Participates in supplier nonconformances.
Communicate and clarify acceptable rework instructions and communicate to suppliers.
Takes positive action with supplier to ensure quality standards are met.
Recommends changes in manufacturing processes and supplier systems to improve product quality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to climb on large castings and fabrications. Use inspection instruments, which require manual dexterity and visual acuity. Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer and other office equipment.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Position may require travel within China.

Tianjin, Beijing or cities around
CONSIDERABLE LOCATION OF CANDIDATE:
Any other cities as long as the candidate is willing to travel frequently or to move to the city.
