POSITION SUMMARY & PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The IKG Finance Manager in China is responsible for the overall management of IKG's accounting and financial functions in China. The Finance Manager in China supports the SR IKG Finance Manager in delivering the key financial goals through effective financial management and sound advice. The Finance manager must perform high-level business administration to create and provide incremental value add for the shareholders as well as for each employee. The finance manager must optimize the Internal Control Framework, with conviction and integrity as part of every activity. The finance manager must be a strategic partner for the IKG China General Manager who will rely on this position in his absence.
The following activities provide a summary of the position but are certainly not all inclusive:
1. Ensures effective internal control systems are in place and are monitored on a regular basis for full SOX compliance in the U.S.
2. Responsible for the accurate and timely recording, summarizing and reporting of all division financial transactions.
3. Ensures timely preparation and submission of all internal & external financial schedules and reports including monthly account reconciliations, monthly & quarterly reporting, monthly & quarterly projections, and annual plan.
4. Provide concise commentary & analysis on the performance and issues of the business when requested.
5. Cost monitoring in all areas of the business from Operations to SG&A.
6. Provide support as a business partner to the General Manager.
7. Assisting with the development of growth strategies, objectives and achievement.
8. Ensures integrity and effective management of all accounting system activity, along with the ability to define and manage department budgets and monthly financial reviews.
9. Develops and manages company's Accounting Policies and Procedures in accordance with company requirements and in conformance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and PRC GAAP.
10. Recruits, trains, supervise and evaluate all accounting staff.
11. Responsible for preparation and submission of all other information as requested by third-party auditors, statutory audits and internal auditors.
12. Perform analysis and approves customer credit limits.
13. Oversee and manages accounts receivable collections for timely receipt.
14. Complete knowledge of Chinese labor laws and payroll calculations.
15. Perform frequent cashflow forecasting, treasury and cash management.
16. Responsible for both financial companies at IKG China, IKG_HK and IKG_China_Operations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Four-year Accounting degree from an accredited college or university
Experience
Minimum of 5 years working experience in accounting field, preferable strong background in Cost accounting.
Prior working experience with publicly traded US company
Other Requirements
Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives.
Must have excellent written and oral communications.
Must have extensive computer experience with King Dee software.
Must have 'advanced' level spreadsheet skills.
Must be extremely detail oriented and able to effectively manage priorities and tasks.
Proven ability to self-manage in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
MBA and/or CPA or equivalency certificate
5-10 years prior experience in a similar role
Prior experience with an international manufacturing business operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
English Language Skills:
Has ability to read and interpret documents. Has ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Has ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees or peers of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software.
