ROLE DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE
Global Data Insights & Analytics (GDIA) is Ford Motor Company global analytics skill team formed in early 2015. GDIA is driving a large amount of new IT delivery in the analytics and data spaces.  Since later 2018, GDIA Global has a series of products, services as well as Data Center expected to be launched/introduced into China. Those China initiatives will be not only supporting the GDIA global layout, but also helping China products/services upgrade, China Compliance and the most important is to building the local GDIA capabilities for handling the massive China local data analysis (connectivity, mobility, customer data, EV, AV etc…) needs.
 
GDIA Tech team (or called GDIA IT) is mainly responsible for building the necessary IT capabilities to supporting the data analytics, modeling, and operation, such as data center, computing, tooling, software, cyber security and etc…
Near-term the GDIA Tech China team is fully involved into those GDIA projects: SCA-CAP (Single, Complete, Actionable View - Customer Account Profile), China SCA-V (Single, Complete, Actionable View of  Vehicle) Data center, The Banma solution IVI data landing, The Baidu solution SYNC+ IVI data landing, the new solution to supporting CRM exit plan (e.g. service history for FordPass/Lincoln Way App)
 
The GDIA China Tech Manager is under China Mobility Platforms & Products (MPP) team, to meet the China GDIA requirements and project plan, the Tech manager has following key responsibilities:
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DELIVERABLES

• Lead the GDIA products launching to China (SCAP-CAP, ICI, and etc…) by leveraging Global GDIA tech PDO resource, also be accountable for making the launch plan, leading the testing/verification w/o downstream applications, communicating with China business
• Cooperate with China ITO to establish the SCA-V China Data center
• Cooperate with Global PDO team to design and establish SCA-C, SCA-V solution in China market.
• Accountable for overall delivery with duties that include supervision and leadership of business analysts, solution design analysts, developers, and QC specialists to ensure project plans delivered on time and within budget.
• Be responsible for define the data landing solution for Banma IVI, SYNC+ IVI, JMC Blue IVI… those various of China IVI, make sure GDIA can access the data and do the analysis with environment
• Partner with different product teams including GDIA China, FordPass app, Connectivity, Electric Vehicles, Autonomous driving, Mobility, Marketing Sales & Services etc…to provide the in-country GDIA technical support and consulting
• Manages activities of team resources as well as partnering with other MPP or IT teams and outside suppliers, to support and deliver solutions and to seamlessly integrate solutions into the overall strategic objectives and activities of the organization
• Lead the China GDIA Tech team to provide the in-country supervision and leadership
• Clearly communicate China GDIA project deliverables with status, funding, issues, risks, and plans to Global GDIA Tech leadership by establishing a robust China GDIA project Governance
• Represent China Market in global demand management, consumption management and strategy governance.

 
 
PREFERRED PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES
Education Qualification

• Bachelors+ in Computer Science a/o Data Application, Master in IT related or MBA will be more recommended

• Resilient to diverse and ever evolving assignments
• Excellent networking and relationship building skills, including negotiation
• Proven ability to “own working together” with global IT team and partners
• Ability to review process performance with senior leaders and obtain the support required to overcome deployment and improvement challenges
• Proven ability to “deliver results” and complete projects on time with quality

 
Functional/Technical Skills

• Demonstrated ability to lead governance with strong organization and communication skills
• Experience in managing and delivering large projects and programs.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a matrix environment with other LL6 delivery leads on the core program team.
• Working knowledge of setting up big data tools and manage big data projects.
• Working knowledge of all areas of Ford IT including shared services, ITO, architecture, security and controls, and EPMO.
• Strong working knowledge & experience of universal development process e.g. Agile
• Demonstrated ability to deliver on project commitments through strong leadership and project management skillset
• Experience in Marketing Sales & Service business function.
• Experience with analytics and “big data” (Hadoop) projects.
