Job Requirements:
Engineering Degree (Mech; Industrial; Chemical)

Greater than 5 years Supervision Experience

Greater than 5 years within the following industries: Machine Shop; Metallizing; Coatings &/or Painting.

Skill and ability to handle a wide variety of tasks and issues

Proven ability to make sound legal personnel decisions



PURPOSE: To direct and coordinate the manufacturing operations maintaining accountability for quality, productivity, complete and on-time shipments, cost control and process improvements.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



·Procedures - Maintain current documentation of manufacturing procedures. Write new procedures as required and update changes.

·Quality - Analyze current production techniques and procedures. Make recommendations for operating changes to improve quality and productivity. Follow established quality systems to measure and monitor critical aspects of product conformance to customer requirements.

·Manufacturing Process Improvements - Investigate and analyze current manufacturing processes in all manufacturing areas. Identify and drive improvement potentials and design improvement strategies for review and approval. Manage the installation of process improvement projects that increase capacity and/or capability.

·Prototype Orders - Insure that orders for prototypes are processed properly, by reviewing customer requirements, ordering necessary materials, and scheduling production time.

·Customer Complaints - Review customer complaints. Analyze circumstances of discrepant product. After review with Division Manager, plan problem resolution.

·Job Costs - Provide to the Division Manager, estimates of new job costs by evaluating input parameters of labor, material and machine time. Drive continuous P&L improvement for facility.

·Production - Work with staff to establish production schedules to meet customer due dates on a complete and on-time basis.

·Production Standard - Through the production supervisors, direct the implementation of production standards. Provide necessary input to the process of standards development.

·Interpret blueprints and, when necessary, obtain further detailed information from Engineering, Research and Development (R&D), Product Managers, OEM, etc.

·Initiate outside vendor estimates for cores, grooving, balancing, etc..

·Document special customer specific pricing in a clear and concise manner within the Customer Equipment Record (CER). Update CER to reflect current special pricing information (price discounts, premiums, competitor information, etc.).

·Review information and audit prices for accuracy for quotes from Customer Service Representatives. Create and implement policies and procedures to assure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

·Determine and create pricing systems, policies, and procedures, for accurate order pricing and quotations.

·Interpret pricing data for CIMS group to provide additions, modifications, deletions, and enhancements to the computerized pricing system. Control distribution and security of price systems. Create and provide training for the computerized and manual systems.

·Through research insure that parts/products are being described accurately and consistently to the proper application.

·Train and supervise direct reports to assure complete and accurate requests for quotations are prepared and distributed to customers.

·Perform other related duties as required.
