Job Title: Assitant Digital Designer

?Reports To: Director of CMD APAC

Location: Wheelock Square, Shanghai, China.

Organization Unit: Creative Media?

Scope of Job: Asia Pacific

The Purpose

?Creative Media team creates the images, films, events and experiences that bring Burberry to life for audiences globally.

This dynamic, creative thinking community is made up of talented specialists including art directors, graphic designs, film directors, editors, producers, project managers, packaging designers and digital natives of all disciplines, all collaborating to explore and execute evermore inspirational and Innovative ways for customers to connect with the Burberry brand.

The Creative Media team is growing into the Asia Pacific region and we are looking for a Junior Digital Designer focused on social media to join our team. This designer will be responsible for creating content across our social media in Asia Pacific, including Wechat, Kakao, Line and Instagram, and also execute best in class visual designs that elevate the quality of Burberry Social Platforms in the region.

As a member of the APAC Creative Media team, you will be using your experience and talents to lead on Burberry social platform projects across Asia Pacific.

You are a person that

  • Understand how to protect our brand assets by strictly adhering to our brand style guide and cropping guideline.
  • Is proactive and passionate about designing the best social experiences that help elevate the brand visibility in social space.
  • Is self-motivated and resourceful with a love for sharing / discussing all things digital design. ?
  • Is extremely detail oriented and precise, paired with great layout and typography skills.
  • Can confidently articulate creative rationale and able to lead conversations with people from different region.
  • Is responsible and excels in time management to balance optimal designs while under tight ?deadlines. ?
  • Have a cultural understanding of local Chinese behavior as well as how it pertains to experience design for social platform. ?Understanding about other Asian country such as Japan and Korea is a plus.
  • Have a great command of English and Chinese language. Ability to speak another Asian language is a plus.

Required Competencies ?

· 2+ years of industry experience developing visual design solutions for digital or social platform

· Exceptional skill-set in graphic / digital design with specific area focus in layout, typography and animation.

· Understanding of animation or 3d software such as 3Dsmax, Premiere, after effects is a big plus

· Intimate knowledge of advantage and disadvantage between different social platforms.

· Grasp of general UX principles and has experience collaborating with UX designers in creating ?experience solutions. ?

· Obsessive attention to detail for all facets of the design process. ?

· Full command of relevant software tools: Adobe PS, AI, Premier, Media Encoder, Sketch, and Final Cut Pro. ?
