Job Description (Main responsibilities):
The Sourcing Engineer is required to devote himself/herself to developing a strong supplier base for Metso Steel Fabrication Category .
?Efficient communications with Metso internal customers/external suppliers to understand clearly the sourcing requirement ,from both technical and commercial point of view
?Assist category manager in finding/ validating potential suppliers and qualification of the selected suppliers,by complying with the given procedures and manage supplier base.
?Take the lead actively to coordinate with relative parties to make sure sourcing projects be handled successfully
?Actively involved in negotiations with suppliers on contract, price, capacity, quality and delivery issues.
?Daily communications with relative Metso units/internal QA/QC team and suppliers to expedite PO management activities
?Create sourcing/supplier assessment/ supplier management tools as well as statistical data ,as per requirement from team leader.
?Identify and analyze trends in product supply & availability, forecasts, raw material prices and non conformance parts.
?Manage the suppliers/ contracts / claims etc. in MSOP/CFC system.
?Compile and issue reports based on information available
?Develop/manage well suppliers to get competitive price, punctual lead time and good quality products.
?Fulfill sourcing tasks assigned by team leader
?Adhere to Metso Policies and guidelines

Competence Profile (Experience, knowledge, skills and capabilities essential to this position):
- Bachelor degree or above, majored in mechanical engineering, or related area.
- Good command of English /Mandarin language both oral and writing, as well as computer skills.
- Has commercial/ legal knowledge on contract, foreign trade, etc;
- 3+ years solid purchasing experiences in a global company, responsible commodity, major weldments will be a plus
