Roles and Responsibilities:

The Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for driving manufacturing strategies and solutions in partnership with the business group and engineering organizations that directly impact final product cost, quality and delivery of new products. We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in NPI projects across value chain strategy, DFX, FMEA, lean manufacturing, value engineering, process development, Test development engineering and optimization, and high volume manufacturing with PCBA and integrated enclosure products.

Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership, direction and strategy, and make operational decisions as well as cost/benefit analysis with key stakeholders and partners.

- Develop the organization skills and disciplines to include DFx, Process and Test development, project management, and problem solving expertise.

- Evaluate and implement cost optimization designs while driving alignment with the Design Engineering organization.

- Develop NPI product value chain (make vs buy) and supply chain strategy.

- Initiate, lead, and drive activities pertaining to lean manufacturing, cycle time, and process improvements.

- Drive cross-functional team to develop launch FMEA risk assessment and proactively manage mitigation and contingency plans.

- Ensure NPI quality and supply chain readiness at Contract Manufacturers.

- Familiarity with ICT, reflow oven, HiPot, overlays, tooling, fixtures, solder deposition and other applicable manufacturing processes.

- Maintain compliance with quality system including corrective action closure, discrepant material disposition and Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementation.

- Provide technical support for failure analysis and root cause investigation of product failures.

- Plan, budget and staff projects, tracking performance throughout.

- Manage and allocate team resources over multiple projects.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors in Engineering or other related technical discipline, MBA preferred.

- 5-10 years of work experience in High-Tech manufacturing environment including Contract Manufacturer management.

- Experience developing products from early concept stage to volume manufacturing and sustaining.

- Design for Manufacturability experience with a proven track record of delivering improvements in efficiency, quality, and product launch predictability.

- A proven cross functional leader who has demonstrated the ability to influence across the organization.

- Ability to promote change and innovation by developing creative manufacturing processes.

- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally across a range of technical disciplines with a broad slate of stakeholders, including management, peers, customers, and suppliers.

- Must be willing to travel, Domestic and International and to work off hours to support business needs

- At least 7 - 10 years factory PM working exp, exp in ODM/OEM is preferred.

- Must able to travel. Sometimes may need to travel to China for weeks, for example.

- Must perform as a team player.
