Job Summary
The manager of corporate procurement leads a team of procurement professionals in China. The responsibility would include setting the strategic vision, operational planning and execution across an integrated platform. He/She will enhance the corporate procurement organization’s skills and visibility, and increasing both internal and external collaboration; Build strong relationships with cross functional team and develop sourcing strategies which help support their business; Identify opportunities for increased competitive bidding, smarter supplier relationships and more efficient processes. Collaborate with teams across to speed up innovation.
Key responsibility
Drive solutions for complex and often highly ambiguous business problems.
Effectively communicate complex issues to management team.
Manage the hiring, placement, and development of corporate procurement professionals.
Run and complete diversity size transformative projects.
Identify and prioritize key corporate procurement opportunities and final recommendations
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Leaders in order to prioritize secure and manage necessary resources.
Mentor and develop employees for career enhancement and direction
Responsible for implementing, supporting and follow corporate procurement policies and guidelines.
Lead teams and attract, develop and retain corporate team members to meet current and future organizational needs.
Key Qualifications
Know the supply market (or have the research skills to be able to come up to speed quickly) in order to educate stakeholders and make better decisions.
Manage robust supplier selection processes using market analysis, concise request for proposals (RFPs), eAuctions and a data driven approach.
Significant prior experience in all elements of strategic sourcing and category management, including but not limited to Facility; Technology; Professional services; Marketing and Advertisement.
Strong leadership and change management skills; demonstrated cross functional leadership skill.
Work ethic with a high degree of flexibility;
Ability to develop and analyze business cases, spend analytics, and financial models
Professional project management skills with the ability to lead and prioritize activities
Collaboration and interpersonal skills
Effective written and verbal communication and influencing skills
Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls and monitoring processes
Demonstrate ability to drive and deliver strategic business plans and initiatives;
Education
Candidate must have a BS/BA degree and minimum of 7-10 years of procurement ( direct or indirect/corporate) management experience; MBA a plus;
Preferred Qualifications
Strong influencing skills and change management experience with the ability to successfully manage complexity and multiple priorities.
Quick learner with interest in understanding and applying best practices.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
