Job Description
Technical Support Manager-(Plastics compounds, masterbatches/additives)
Responsibility:
1.Provide technical support to customers as trouble shooters and technical consultant, including attend molding trial at site; translate customer and application requirements into product specifications to make proposals regarding optimum grades, processing and design;
2.Support new business development through the generation of technical value proposals, application and design knowledge (market/application, product, processing) at existing and new customers/projects;
3.Support sales team to handle/follow-up complaints on technical issues;
4.Provide technical training (products, processing) for internal sales team;
Requirement:
-Excellent verbal/ written English and Mandarin communication skills combined with ability to prepare and present effective technical presentations
-Age 30 to 40
-Bachelors( perfer Master) degree in polymer science or chemical engineering
-Must be honest, reliable, highly motivated and able to work independently
-Knowledge of engineering plastics industries and markets, good knowledge of products (HT polyamide compounds, thermal conductive compounds, electronically conductive compounds, flame retardant compounds, thermoset plastics, functional master batches, etc.) in many applications (automotive, electronics, home appliance, LED lighting, packaging, etc.), at least 10 years' related experience.
-Must have ability to troubleshoot testing and part manufacturing issues for engineering plastics compounds.
-Must be able to interact with customers through all levels of interface from shop personnel to Senior Managers so as to conquer obstacles and drive key account objectives.
In your daily work you will be supported by a team of customer service staff, by group technical experts and by our suppliers and colleagues overseas.
Travel activities: This position requires extensive business travel (at least 50%).
