Position Summary

The core purposes of this role is responsible for new customer implementation for those below $100K wins, and assist regional implementation team for those above $100K wins in line with the global Damco Implementation Standard, to ensure smooth transition of business to Damco operation team and knowledge/experience transfer.
This role has to work closely with the account teams (who manage the customers and bring in new business) and product teams, programme and customer service managers, operation managers in order to ensure 100% successful on-boarding of new/additional business according to business requirements and success criteria established.
This position holds functional role in a matrix organization as PRNC operations to cover Sea Freight, Air Freight and other products.


Key Responsibilities

o Take leadership of implementation for below $100K wins landed by local and regional sales, regional and global key accounts as well as overseas sales; and support regional implementation team for above $100K wins.
o Project management to ensure on-boarding project progression for tasks owned by the CSO and achieve the success criteria established in each project;
o Drive project plan completion according to timeline, resource, quality agreed on. Monitor each project closely and flag any off-track tasks for resolution;
o Act as the clients’ center of gravity on implementations and issue resolution where commercial holds the overall account relationship
o Be a subject matter expert in implementation. Join sales person on customer visit representing SGH CSO Implementation function, to demonstrate competencies and experience towards customer;
o Assist sales person in connection with sales pipeline if needed to determine scope and parameters of implementation;
o Together with sales, connect with the customer and finalise the scope, requirements, coordinate operational details and develop the detailed implementation plan;
o Clearly communicate the expectation, task ownership and project plan to all stakeholders; Timely communicate project progress to all stakeholders;
o Drive alignment between customer expectation and project delivery; Manage internal and external stakeholders expectations;
o Proactively anticipate areas of concern and proactively ensure they are addressed with stakeholders and improvement suggestions implemented;
o Ensure seamless transfer of ownership to final business owners by having implementation team to work closely with Commercial, Operation and Key account managers;
o Coordinates necessary training for new clients during on-boarding and monitors post implementation performance until the operation is stabilised
o Conduct Hypercare where success criteria defined jointly with customer for the project is met; ensure proper handover to final business owner;
o Responsible for conversion monitoring for 12 months after new landing wins owned in Shanghai area, jointly with Commercial team;
o Contribute to regional & global Implementation strategy, methodology development and proactively share lesson learnt and best practice within the global and regional community.
o Responsible for other functional development tasks as assigned by Head of implementation.

Expectations from the Role
o Develop an strong understanding of the business implementation
o Act as a prime point of new business landing, to contact with customers, work closely with Commercial Managers, Key Account Managers and other members from the commercial teams to ensure successful business on boarding.
o Ensure effective communication within PRNC operation teams & Commercial teams for best service committed and afforded;
o Help pro-actively foresee the potential operational problem & voice out challenges with suggested solutions
o SOPs for client specific requirements including invoicing, claims handling, dispute escalation / resolution, and exceptions
o Customer KPI reporting in accordance with contract requirements

? Successful Onboarding – Measurement comes from NAS imp. Report : Small Wins and NAS Key account wins
? Project Management & Collaboration
? Conversion rate - Actual CM1 divered by declared CM1 in CRM

Required knowledge & Skills

Operational Efficiency & Customer Service Experience
o Project management experience to able and desire to drive project to success at right cost, quality and time
o Possess effective stakeholder management skill by building trusted relationships and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders;
o Good industry & operation knowledge, wide geographical experience and broad knowledge of Damco products and applications is an advantage. Familiarity with Damco Policies and Processes relating to the following is preferred :
? Trade Lane Management process, including allocation management process, Preferred Carriers , and Carrier charge structure
? Customer Service Quality Standards, Quotation Standards and Pricing Policy
? Trade Compliance, HSS, Environmental Compliance
? Working knowledge of Kewill, MODS, Mydamco etc. internal system
o Understanding of legal / commercial framework, approval process and documentation related to
? Contracts of carriage
? INCOTERMS, STC, Customs Documentation, HS Code, and import/export processes

Relationship Management
o Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
o Good commercial acumen with genuine interest and passion in our customers;
o Able to work calmly and independently under pressure.
o Business travel may be required.
o Ability to work and thrive in a flexible matrix organization with focus on networking & active collaboration & communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment
