Job Title North Asia Corporate Solution Legal Counsel

Reporting Relationships North Asia General Counsel
Location Shanghai, China
Duty & Responsibility
? Providing timely, pro-active and practical legal advice all Corporate Solution business lines;
? Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a broad range of business documents that arise from the day to day operations of the business
? Ensure compliance with relevant country laws or where non-compliance is identified, identify the risks, develop risk minimisation strategies and manage them where non-compliance arises;
? Reviewing and keeping updated on national and state legislation that may affect the business
? Managing litigation and disputes within the region; and
? Working with other professionals not directly reporting to Legal & Compliance to ensure achievement of corporate objectives and delivery of corporate compliance across the region, such as:
- the operational risk management services team;
- the Financial Controllers; and
- HR business partners
Required Qualifications & Experience
? A lawyer with 5+ years of experience in law firms and/or leading multinational companies, with at least a law degree in China
? Strong problem-solving, decision-making and risk assessment capabilities, with good judgment and commercial sense
? Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.
? Able to adapt quickly to changes in the legal and regulatory environment, the market or the Firm strategy.
