Responsibilities:

* Work together with the merchandisers and the QCs to improve the technical quality of both woven and knitted garments in the region.
* Check all incoming samples and provide sample report
* Be able to suggest improvements on the garments in order to raise the technical quality.
* Work together with the sample rooms in the factory to raise sample quality and improve fitting.
* Preferably being able to join in meeting with merchandisers and buyers to give input on technical issues.
* Ensure that supplier have needful information to be able to produce with a high technical quality level and follow Buyers and Production Team’s request on placed order.
* Ensure that suppliers understand and follow our requirements for sampling, fitting, making and quality
* Support and pro-actively work for a strong co-operation in the PO-team as well as with BO-team and our Suppliers.
* Work closely with Merchandiser assistant to ensure only accurate samples is to be sent to BO and that agreed time schedule can be kept.
* To discuss with Merchandiser/Assistant if we believe the style/making need to be changed for to be produced according to Company standard. Or any change that can lower the cost.
* Search feedback from PT regarding products fitting, quality, and making.
* Ensure that all team members get accurate information to fulfill their tasks.
* Know suppliers ability to produce orders and follow Company requirement. Educate suppliers when needed. Discuss suppliers’ strength & weaknesses in PO-team.
* Work pro-actively for local counter sample approval and shorter sample lead times.


Requirements

* Textile education or long working experience in garment production
* Minimum 6 years experience in garment production with strong technical skills for woven products, experience in Ladies & Men’s wear is an advantage
* Skilled in pattern making and grading
* Good command in written and spoken English
* Have a commercial approach and ability to understand buyers’ need.
* Creative in finding solutions that can lower the cost of the product and still keeping the value driver.
* High risk analyzing skill to foresee eventual problems.
* Have a pro-active attitude and ability to prioritize and organize the work process to be efficient
* Know consumption calculation – how changes on product can affect the price.
* Driven to work towards common goals through collaboration and encourage others to do as well.
* Be socially competent with a humble attitude in to concur good teamwork
* Strong communication skill and give clear messages both face to face and in writing.
* Have ability to relate to others both one to one and in team.
* Take responsibility to give and get feedback.
