Responsibilities:

Interface with SBSC centres
• Key interface with SBSC centres to ensure overall operational excellence and controls are effective through regular engagement sessions and case by case problem solving,process improvement,metrics assessment.
• Strongly support new projects related process and interface set-up including interfaces with on-site project FN and businesses.
Accounting Policy & Compliance
• Provide accounting advice based on instruction from Controller regarding general queries from FiB or complicated accounting issues.
• Acting as senior accountant for 2 legal entities to ensure proper compliance at legal entity level,overall understanding on legal entity for PSCs,business scope,business operation,investment and financing perspective,organization structure,control framework (including Manual Of Authorities,Financial Control Manuals,etc),and co-ordinate to maintain the relationship with government authority (legal,tax,State Administration of Foreign Exchange etc.); assist in risk-based management and effective governance,financial and business controls to support business growth.
• Highlight where financial status or arrangement does not comply with statutory or tax requirement to Controller.
• Oversee annual statutory audit per legal entity to compliance with local accounting standards,tax and foreign currency related regulations.
• Oversee staff defined benefit scheme for upstream China to directly support Upstream Controller to ensure proper accounting/reporting compliance in both IFRS and PRC GAAP.
• Oversee regular Group v.s. statutory report reconciliation at entity level to ensure the difference is properly justified and documented in SBSC.

Insurance
• Oversee the overall statutory compliance regarding insurance policy in various PSCs.
• Acting as senior accountant to centrally coordinate for insurance contracting process for both existent and new projects,including coordination amongst project leaders,Chinese partners,brokers,global insurance experts,comparison amongst different insurance companies,finalizing contracts,support payment,etc.

Intra-Group Controls
• Provide financial advice on the setting up of global and regional units in country for the provision of intra-group activities and services in accordance with group guideline,which will include the creation of appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) which will comply with fiscal and legal requirements and support an efficient and effective intra-group recoveries and settlement process
• Guide SBSCs and business/project finance on foreign currency regulations and tax regulations; therefore instruct contractual arrangement on service charges,secondment charges and pension/miscellaneous charges within Intra-Group/Inter-Company entities.
• Instruct SBSCs to follow-up on aged reconciling items.

Requirements:

• Degree in the areas of Finance or Accounting and professional certification(s) (CPA, ACCA or CIMA) preferred with 5+ years experience
• Strong technical knowledge, analytical skills and experience to provide accounting and financial advice to finance colleagues and managers
• Highly disciplined in meeting deadlines and ability to deliver results under pressure
• Team work focused to deliver results and meet business needs
• Be motivated and drive to deliver changes, to improve processes and results
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with local teams and virtual team in Finance Operations and relevant stakeholders at Group level
• SAP knowledge and controls
• Good PC skills
• Ability to work effectively with different cultures in a D&I compliant manner
• Fluent Spoken/Written Chinese/English skills.
