Responsibilities:
- Ensure the integrity of Shell brand in all JVs especially in RVI execution and co-brand/joint-brand environment.
- Stay close with Operation and Engineering functions to ensure RVI standards are properly met at JV level.
- Implement and monitor Shell brand principles in all marketing activities and daily operations.
- Provide guidance to JVs on branding issues and excellence in Brand relation executions.
- Communicate various standards throughout the Retail corporate/JVs in order for all stakeholders to obtain a better understanding of,and compliance of Shell brand standards. Improve internal awareness and capabilities of Brand management.
- Act as the Focal Point for SBI for brand related assurances and audits.
- Localize global brand mgt toolkit and bring up the awareness of branding mgt in JVs.
- Advise Central MKT team on brand related issues and ensure the marketing campaigns from Central MKT are compliant with Shell brand standards.
- Provide on-going support for education and monitoring of the application of all brand standards. Report any non-compliance incidence.
- Joint venture structure in Retail China (multiple shareholders for difference JVs) complicates the brand mgt and communications.
- Brand status across JVs varies due to the existence of “dual-brand” with Chinese partner. This significantly increases the difficulty in branding compliance.
- The incumbent has various stakeholders that demands significant communication efforts with Central Team,JVs and Global Retail.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years experience in marketing profession, with brand management experience preferred.
- Has sound understanding of Shell brand principles.
- Has excellence skills in communication and be able to manage JV partners’ expectation on branding.
- Has ability to work with cross functional teams (SCL and JV, e.g. Engineering, Sales & Operations) for branding issues.
- Solid experience in brand audit and handling brand incidence will be a plus.
- Has good communication skills, both verbal and written (Chinese & English).
