Responsibilities:
Lead the Engineering Services team by building the adequate capability to produce LPP,PDP and required engineering review and engineering services in the delivery of CTC projects. Responsible for nurturing,training and initiating engineering system with the support and coach given by engineering expat for the first one or two year,and champion the competency and individual development of the Engineering Services staff. He or She will also be mindful with project management knowledge and skills and shall be the essential active role in PM system in CTC.

The Senior Process Engineer,as the lead,is responsible to ensure quality and efficient execution of Engineering Packags (BEP),to develop technical proposals for business development and to offer technical support to operating customers.

The role for the execution of EP will vary with the project and will include process modeling with ASPEN software,review of junior process engineer work,execution of deliverables,technical communication with third party (EPC,channel partner,customer,etc) and participation at project meetings (KOM,PID review,HAZOP,etc).

The role for development of technical proposals will include process line-up evaluation,development of process design and technical writing.

The role for technical support to operating customers will include travel to site to assist in commissioning and start-up activities as well as performance test runs and operator training. The nature of support is process in nature,ie: ensure that the process is operating as per the design,troubleshooting problems,optimize performance,etc.

This roles will provide strong leadership and initiative in establishment,improvement and deployment of engineering work processes and development of engineering design manuals.

Such roles includes to provide leadership and direction to internal and external engineering resources for the delivery of basic engineering documents. Support 3rd party contractors as required during the detailed engineering phase to ensure the development of fabrication specifications that lead to a competitive product.

Requirements: * Chemical Engineering degree with sound chemical process knowledge and experiences, an asset if equipped with gas treating and SO2 scrubbing technologies and/or ASPEN simulations (as extra asset)
* Commercial experiences/MBA will be a desired asset
* 8 years experience or more desired in delivery of engineering services with detailed understanding of engineering design (BEP) and knowledge of project management
* Excellent communication skills, especially in the context of cross-culture environment
* Hands on mentality /Experience in operating environment
* Leadership experience
* Fluent in English and Mandarin

Accountabilities and Challenges:
* Leadership, training and development of Engineering Services staff
* Nurture and build technical competence levels capable of producing LPP and PDP by 2012 and be 95% independent within three years
* Leadership in developing and deploying robust engineering procedures while retaining the flexibility and responsiveness of the organisation
* Ensure technical excellence of engineering deliverables while actively leading the improvement
* The inter-dependent and accountability between CTC and CTI

* Direct reports: 5 persons based in Beijing China, this may grow pending successful market penetration and partnership activities
* Responsible for significant operating budget (yearly) of USD 3-5 mln and efficiency targets
* Major contributor to the delivery (yearly) of a USD 10-15 mln revenue target and NBIT of USD 5 mln
* Part of the CTC Leadership team
