Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with Hardware development groups to get well understood of the logical circuit of the system under test.
Act as a SPIT project lead in a developing project, to communicate with PM, design engineer, and customer on the entire SPIT related items.
Cooperate with project validation lead to work out the Master Validation Plan. Determine the test methodologies of all test cases for the project.
Create the test plan and report for the developing project; Support SPIT project members on the test plan and report creation.
Setup internal review meeting for test plan and report, achieve the internal approvals before release to customer.
Perform SPIT test according to the test plan with appropriate equipment. Provide fully support to SPIT test engineer on the testing issue. Make sure the accuracy of the test results.
Weekly update the test status with DVPR spreadsheet to project validation lead. Highlight any issues and defects timely.
Defects management
- Submit the defects to the bug system immediately after they were confirmed.
- Support design engineer on debugging process.
- Update the bug system whenever the defects status was changed.
Support the technical training for the junior SPIT engineer and new blood.
Support team lead on the new methodology development.
Support team lead on the equipment maintain and management.
Qualifications:
Candidate should possess a Master or a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering, with at least 5 years of experience on hardware design or signal test. Additional qualifications include:
- Master the low speed buses and interfaces specification such as GbE, DDR, I2C, LPC, UART, SPI, JTAG, USB2.0, etc.; Master two or above high speed buses and interfaces specification and methodologies; good knowledge of all general high speed signals testing.
- Master the usage of real time oscilloscopes and sampling oscilloscope; proven capability to choose the appropriate equipment for the measurements.
- Good knowledge of logical circuit and signal integrity theory; be able to apply the knowledge on the actually testing.
- Demonstrated capability to support bug resolving and issue analysis.
- Be familiar with the Cadence tools Capture and Allegro.
- Be familiar with the Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good English speaking and literacy
- Working knowledge of high-end and enterprise computing product’s system architecture.
