DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible to drive rapid, share-gaining growth in the Chinese motion market through developing an intimate understanding of Chinese customer needs, providing the critical input into China localization engineering efforts; assessing markets & opportunities; capturing/organizing Voice of the Customer (VoC); ideating with prospects and engineering teams; preparing financial analyses; and contributing to innovation process development motor/system design per customer/market requirements
? Initiate new business/product proposals, and if approved, develop the Business Case.
? Collaborate with engineering, product management, and customers to provide input at product review meetings and sales presentations.
? Maintain expertise on products and technologies through training and research.
? Develop/maintain Product Requirements Specification for assigned products.
? Identify opportunities for new products and translate product and feature characteristics into development parameters and functional specifications; Includes market research, competitive analysis and pricing.
? Monitor R&D projects related to assigned products and serve as marketing advisor on all matters relating to designated products.
? Provide sales support with targeting and closing sales opportunities, as well as on root cause and countermeasures as required.
? Assist in product management activities where capabilities and time, or project need exist.

QUALIFICATIONS:

? Engineering background with MBA is preferred. Other Engineering Bachelor degrees may be accepted with equivalent successful technical product planning experience
? Minimum of 4 years in Product Management or equivalent with a proven track record of managing multiple assignments to successful completion. Over period of career, there must be a proven record of increasing responsibility and task complexity.
? Demonstrated experience identifying successful product opportunities.
? Highly computer skills (especially in Excel and PowerPoint).
? Excellent communication skills, fluent in Chinese and English.
? Previous significant participation on project teams with evidence of high performance ratings.
? Self-motivated. Able to work projects in an independent fashion.
? Domestic travel is required.
