Report to: China IS Manager
Location: Yutian, Tangshan City, Hebei Province
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1) Strategy
. As part of the China business and Asia IS team, design, develop and implement the strategic roadmap for the Farms by understanding business requirements, leveraging deployed solutions, best practice, and desired business outcomes, to ensure a 3-5 year roadmap that delivers sustainable and leading edge solutions that co-ordinates with other company IS initiatives and delivers on business outcomes.
. To assist and develop concept and business case and if required to project manage new solution initiative for the region.
2) Operational Management
. Manage the day to day operations of IS for the hub location to satisfy business needs, including understanding relevant business requirements and outcomes,
. Ensure a high level service and long term viable technology solutions are delivered to the business which can sustain and contribute to business outcomes.
. Be responsible for incident resolutions for all IT issues on farm
. Support hub applications to achieve 99.5% system availability and manages issues affecting delivery.
. Manages local and regional 3rd Party relationships to ensure the infrastructure services rendered are within the agreed SLA of the regional locations, while ensuring resources are optimized in the deployment.
. Co-ordinate, facilitate and provide IS to the Farm Hub, by providing information, answering queries and resolving issues, and integrating with IS Solutions/Service delivery and support functions, to ensure:
*appropriate processes are in place to manage team activities in conjunction with internal suppliers;
*co-ordination of sign-off across IS and the various 3rd party suppliers (i.e. HCL, HP, local suppliers);
*processes and practices are aligned with IS standard practices as these are developed;
*expectations, risks and issues with regards to the delivery of IS solutions are highlighted and escalated.
3) Relationship Management
. Build and manage relationships with key business contacts and third party service providers , in order to provide support for all IT on farms and in particular those which are business specific.
. Support the IS team in sustaining strategic business partnership between IS and the Farm management and team through the development and maintenance of effective working relationships, and a strong understanding of business goals and objectives which assist to identify and prioritise, IS business requirements to ensure:
. An intimate and thorough understanding and interpretation of Farm business goals and objectives;
. An intimate and thorough knowledge of the Farm Hub and customers, including key people and their roles;
. Understanding and anticipation of business needs and manage expectations;
4) Development
. Work with the establishment team to ensure IT considerations are factored into future designs.
5) Reporting
. Develop and produce a monthly customer report that describes the status of IS services, IS charges & areas of business focussed innovation
. Work analyst teams across IS to include financial and non-financial information, plus add analysis & management commentary to these reports.
. Analyse, collate and provide commentary on reports, on the Farm Hub and programmes of work, to ensure accurate information is provided to the business and to IS on programme progress and business unit priorities.
6) Budgeting and Planning
. Develop, manage and monitor the IS budget for the hub to ensure:
. Optimisation of current supplier agreements;
. Profit and loss is monitored and reported on;
. Cost and benefit analysis is transparent;
. Purchases within IS for the region are co-ordinated and in line with the larger IS spend.
. Contracts with local outsourced service providers are evaluated and aligned with local, regional and global strategies, cost and the agreed SLA
7) User and Business Training
. Provide training on technology to the business to enable end users to increase productivity and utilise available technology to the greatest level.
QUALIFICATIONS
. A tertiary qualification in IS or Management, to give an indication of the requisite level of problem-solving and analysis skills.
. Excellent command of Mandarin, both written and verbal. Fluent in English is preferred.
. Must have at least 5 years working in IT industry
. Must have experience in dealing with outsourced IT service providers
. Understands IT hardware infrastructure and architecture
. Knowledge of Microsoft OS, email and office tools - Good PC skills
. Understands IT project life-cycle concepts and programming concepts
. Proven project management skills and systems implementation
. Business planning and budgeting
. Experience in managing ERPs – specifically SAP and JDE is preferred.
. Experience in specific agri software ie DC305, SCR, feedwatch is preferred.
. Knowledge and experience with SAP implementation is advantageous
. Good analytical and problem solving skills (business analysis), focused and solution-driven, with overall business acumen
. Relationship management capability - able to build sound working relationships internally and across outsourced providers
. Supplier management capability
. Database and network management experience
. Agri industry experience is preferred.
