Purpose:
The purpose of the Training Specialist-China Affiliate role is to support the creation, coordination, and implementation of learning solutions. The Training Specialist monitors process, progress, and quality results against measured goals. The Training Specialist should anticipate and adjust for problems and interface with global Learning and Development team to ensure learning solution success. The Training Specialist provides support to ensure personnel are qualified and capable, which includes personnel fulfilling compliance requirements and continually increasing their contribution to the business.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Learning and Development Project and Client Management
? Establish a strong relationship with the business areas supported. Develop a firm understanding of the business areas goals, priorities, roles, and business processes.
? Serve as primary liaison between China affiliate and Global Learning and Development. Understand global training objectives and solutions and with business areas to apply locally.
? Identify opportunities for improvement of existing training and training assignment tools.
? Stay abreast of business area training needs through regular discussion and interaction.
? Implement centrally-developed process improvements across local business areas.
? Provide audit support.
2. Manage Curriculum and Assignment
? Consult with business partners to establish and maintain a curriculum architecture consistent with the Global L&D and local China Affiliate strategy.
? Lead efforts to define, maintain, and troubleshoot curriculum assignments to support personnel qualification.
? Consult with business partners to ensure individual training plans align with job responsibilities and compliance needs.
? Work with business SMEs to establish and/or maintain target audience definitions for curricula and courses owned by assigned customer group(s).
3. Administrative Support
? Metrics – define, collect, and communicate routine training compliance metrics to allow for continuous oversight and identification of improvement areas.
? Provide support to solve leaning issues from employees
? Work with business SMEs to provide orientation for on-boarding new employees
? Other administrative support – provide support for maintenance of Job Descriptions, Organizational Charts, and other activities related to Personnel Qualifications.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
? Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience)
? Demonstrated ability to establish strong business relationships
? Demonstrated ability in communication, conflict resolution, using good judgment, and managing complexity
? Demonstrated strong organizational skills
Other Information/Additional Preferences:
? Experience with Learning and Development activities
? Ability to effectively partner globally
? Ability to navigate complex, matrix-based organizations
