Responsibilities:

1. Manage social media communications with the news media community. This includes:
- Creating Shell China's official social media news account,managing info feed,handling inquiries and comments,and maintaining the account;
- Developing audio and video news contents for both the official social media news account and the media centre of the official corporate website (shell.com.cn);
- Creating a one-click digital system for regular news announcements as well as emergency/crisis statements/updates;
- Guiding businesses and functions on stakeholder communications through social media.

2. Handle Media Relations routines. These include:
- Issuing press releases;
- Managing media monitoring and summary reports by working with relevant agencies;
- Sending daily Media Coverage reports to the identified internal audience using FACTIVA;
- Managing contracting and payments for third party services;
- Providing support for Spokespersons in major events and activities;
- Participating in media relations building and maintanance activities.

Requirements:

1. Language proficiency
- Native Chinese speaker with refined proficiency in Chinese;
- Fluent English speaker with advanced proficiency in English.

2. Journalistic experience
- 3-5 years of working experience in news reporting with a credible international news organisation - a must;
- 1-2 years of working experience in news reporting with a credible Chinese news organisation - a plus.
