Key Responsibilities
Best customer proposition
? To build strong, value-driven, long-term Client rapport and deliver excellence in a committed and consistent manner.
? Act as Trade Prime-Mover. Work closely with Product Delivery Team, other internal counterparts to ensure service delivery standard and handle space / equipment exceptions.
? Monitor client call plans. Make sure proper preparation ahead of each visit to derive targeted results.
? Oversee Negotiation and contracting with major clients.
? Well manage booking channels, forwarders and BCOs, build up regular weekly support from clients.
Route leadership
? Recommend product development initiatives driven by knowledge of client needs to marketing team as appropriate.
? To own client specific market plan for the trade.
? Analyse market and competition information and suggest to marketing team for setting up correct policy to ensure Maersk will stay competitive in the market. Initiate and support sales drives.
? Ensure focus on new business and controlled business development. Critically evaluate business propositions, recommend and execute short & long term strategies.
? Work side-by-side with CSA/marketing team to keep track clients’ performance vs. commercial targets and take appropriate and timely remedial measures.
Cost leadership
? Monitor Outstanding Freight & Charges and adherence to agreed Credit terms.
? Implement E-strategy, explore client needs and provide E-solution to add values to clients.
? Develop and share trade/industry-specific knowledge with other sales teams in branch / regional / country level.
? Ensure swift conflict resolution by maintaining direct lines to senior business owners and orchestrating organizational resources.
? Focus on increasing effectiveness of Client Management by drawing upon best practices, as well as ongoing training and educational initiatives
? Proficient sales skills
? Experience in sales, marketing of shipping or logistics
? Better know of Hangzhou area shipping market
? Good command in English both in written and spoken
? Excellent interpersonal
