Report to: Asset, Waste Water Treatment and Services Manager
Location: Qihe, Shandong

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1) Leading change and annual results:
 Initial focus of this role will be to:
. Ensure that the effluent treatment system is safe to operate, reliable, stable and efficient;
. The system is meeting all key performance criteria for each of the key process steps and the overall system is treating effluent to the required standards;
. Troubleshooting as required;
. All laboratory testing requirements are being carried out;
. Monitoring and management of operating cost;
. SOP’s for the process is being followed by the operators and laboratory technicians. Update SOP’s as required;
. Ensure all routine system checks are being carried out with a particular focus on safety;
. Management of the rosters for operators and laboratory technicians – ensure the process is always adequately resourced;
. Maintenance of the system is being carried out as required so that operation is always safe and reliable. Ensure Permit to Work system is being followed where necessary;
. Ensure there is full coordination with the effluent team for timely sludge removal and wherever else there is interfacing required;
. Ensure there is full coordination with on farm operations particularly in terms of required volumes of effluent to be treated and use of treated water from the process;
. Assist with implementation of continuous improvement initiatives;
. Manage and order inventory of chemicals and other consumables.
2) Reporting & Continuous Improvement
. Monitor and report KPIs.
. Complete all routine reporting requirements, including daily and monthly progress reports and promptly report and take appropriate action on issues and anomalies as they occur.
. Lead a culture of continuous improvement in the environmental team.
3) People and Capability Build
. Manage a high performing environmental operations team and ensure timely resolution of any conflicts and issues;
. Effectively manage performance and engage team members.
4) Health and Safety
. Ensures that company Health and Safety policies and procedures are embedded in the execution of all and any work.
. Work with the China Farms team to shift the culture from a compliance mindset to a team committed to world class safety practices and behaviours.
. Provides visible and effective leadership on all aspects of health and safety in China Farms sites to ensure safety and well-being of all employees, contractors and visitors.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
1) Education
. Essential: College degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Environmental Science. Minimum 4 years’ experience in a plant with mechanical / electrical & instrumentation, chemical or biological processes from the paper / food / fermentation industry.
. Preferred: Experience with systems using bio digesters and waste water treatment.
2) Experience
-Essential:
. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office – Word and Excel;
. Implementing and managing SOP’s;
. Ability to delegate responsibilities to team members, and in planning daily shift rosters;
. Process: basic knowledge of water treatment systems and management, and experience on maintaining operation parameters and handling problems.
. Monitoring and laboratory testing: familiar with monitoring and test methods of common water quality parameters;
. Equipment, instrumentation and auto control: familiarity with common equipment such as pumps, valves, solid separation systems and chemical dosing equipment within paper / food / fermentation industry.
-Preferred:
. On-farm experience or in a closely associated sector of the agricultural industry.
. Operation lead role in water treatment process.
3) Technical/Functional Expertise
. Essential: Experience with the installation and operation of mechanical, electrical and automation equipment.
4) Industry Experience
. Essential: Operation lead role in (waste) water treatment process within paper / food / fermentation industry.
. Preferred: On-farm experience or in a closely associated sector of the agricultural industry 举报 分享
