Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be hired as Assistant Category Manager. The candidate will be fully engaged in the Category Management of Marine category Drydocking and Retrofit. Apart from covering the 80+ regular annual drydocking of vessels belonging to Maersk Group this also includes exposure to large scale projects such as the Radical Retrofit of Maersk vessels and the strategic development of the category. You will be able to contribute to negotiations withmany suppliers (both global and local) and the optimization of the total cost/value of ownership forour business units e.g. Maersk Line, Maersk Tankers and Maersk Supply Services. Key responsibilities will include assisting the Category Managers on the following tasks:
? Stakeholder management including understanding their business requirements, and crosscompany alignment to ensure maximization of Group leverage
? Perform contract management including negotiation of Frame Agreements and Price Lists
? Internal and external data collection and analysis? development of advanced tools to support negotiations and vendor evaluation
? Push Maersk’ cost reduction targets through execution of tenders for upcoming dockings
? Maintain and develop our internal communication tools such as our team’s Sharepoint site and monthly newsletter
? Monitoring market and supplier development, as well as contributing to feedback based development of Maersk’ key suppliers in the category
? Develop proactive market strategies, including cultivation of new suppliers
? Engage in supplier relationships to foster mutual opportunities
? Support Maersk’ Responsible Procurement framework through implementation with highrisk suppliers in the category
? Actively utilize etools such as Ariba, eContracts and other proprietary Maersk tools

Who we are looking for:
The ideal candidate:
? Has a background as newly educated within business or engineering and a relevant Master degree
? Is analytical and excels at processing data incl. cost modelling, with a commercial mindset and a good technical interest
? Is detail oriented and interested to learn and apply worldclass contract management
? Has procurement related work experience with exposure to basic procurement disciplines incl. esourcing
? Has project management experience where planning, communication and stakeholder management are key disciplines
? Is efficient and can maintain an overview and prioritise tasks when running several projects in parallel
? Is dynamic both in regards to daily tasks, and travel requirements
? Is a team player with good interpersonal skills and willing to help out where needed
? Is process as well as result oriented and dares to bring forward new ideas and initiatives
? Strong ITskills (Microsoft Office,Ariba, etc.)
? An international mindset supported by high level of proficiency in spoken and written English
? Spoken and/or written Mandarin Chinese will be a benefit, but is not a requirement.
