Purpose:


¨ Drive all material related functions in the source country.

¨ Ensures that new developed materials are ready for usage in accordance with the company policies.

¨ Ensures that material libraries and tool boxes are maintained up to date in regard of availability, quality, and prices.

¨ Plays a key role in development of sustainable materials accordingly to the company requests.

¨ Project management and support.


Key Responsibilities:


¨ Develop new materials and/or improve existing material accordingly to Project Management request and quality requirements.

¨ Develop new material sources offering

- Improved quality,

- Optimized price value

- Reduced lead times and minimum quantities.

¨ Establish and maintain trustful relationship with existing material suppliers in order to obtain the best services in terms of quality, price and lead-times.

¨ Establish trustful relationship with new material sources in order to evaluate their capabilities of becoming nominated material suppliers.

¨ On a daily base work with LO Development team, Production team and costing manager providing the updates about material development which helps or affects the advancements of their daily tasks/operations.

¨ Raise up and if necessary address material quality concerns to the Global Quality team in order to ensure the final product quality.

¨ Introduce new materials/material suppliers to product suppliers targeting improved quality and innovative materials.

¨ Lead relevant parties, drive project progress and on-time delivery.

? T2 -Testing institutes/labs - T1.

? Project Management.

? All LO departments.


Knowledge Skills and Abilities: (describe the technical skills required for the position, specific expertise needed to perform the job, describe any applicable knowledge required for the position)

? High technical material/material production processes knowledge.

? Efficient analysis of material/processes trends.

? Identify material costing trends.


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

¨ Diploma or degree from educational entity focusing on textile engineering or chemistry.

¨ At least 8 years of progressive experience in sports goods development and production.

¨ Experience in materials, chemicals, testing and project management.

¨ IT knowledge (office applications, basic understanding of CAD/CAM processes).
