As of now, Amazon Logistic China operates in 20+ major cities which count for a large portion of Amazon shipments in China. Our goal for Amazon logistic is to build up the best-in-class carrier in China both from quality and from cost prospective. Moreover, as the most advanced region for Amazon to invest in this strategic area worldwide, Amazon Logistic China is building up a last mile solution not only for Chinese customers, but also will be adopted globally later on.
Preview of Operation Manager role:
The Operation Manager will be at the center of both innovation and daily operation control for Amazon Logistic team. Operation manager is responsible for all exceptional case handling, peak readiness and setup the operation control center. Moreover, the one is also responsible for contributing new ideas and developing the new operation model on last mile delivery area to both improve on customer delivery experience and cost reduction. Additional responsibilities include leading a team of transportation expert, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the team.
An Operation Manager will facilitates the flow of information between different stakeholders and resolves any potential issues that impact customer experience and business continuity. The Operation manager will manage team working across two verticals: On Road Support and Operation control. On road support deals with DA relationship, ensuring that shipments are delivered to the customer as promised.
The Operation Manager addresses any potential issues occurring during the lifecycle of a parcel leaving the Delivery Station and reaching the customer.
Operation control provides timely resolution to the issue at hand by researching and querying internal tools and by taking real-time decisions. An ideal candidate should be able to understand the requirements/be able to analyze data and notice trends and be able to drive Customer Experience without compromising on time. The candidate should have the basic understanding of Logistics and should be able to communicate clearly in written and oral form.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Overseeing the provision of on road support to Delivery Associates to drive First Time Delivery Success
· Supporting operations leadership team in daily management of the transport operations center, including; allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, and communicating with Delivery Associates.
· Finding simple, smart and innovative ways to improve how we work for the benefit of our customers and on budget, and driving forward the implementation of that vision.
· Working to KPIs such as contact rates, First Time Delivery Success and Enhancing Customer Service
· Successfully managing relationships with delivery stations, driver suppliers and inspiring the workforce to achieve and exceed
· Leading initiatives to re-engineer business processes, identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation operations.
· Developing performance metrics to assist with driving business results.
Works closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and other Delivery Managers to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent managerial skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team in a very dynamic environment
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- At least 3 years management experience
- Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques
-Proficient in oral and written English communication
-Superior communication skills, including the proven ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate, and communicate with external business partners and internal teams to meet operational performance goals.
