SUPERVISORY SPAN
HR, EHS & Admin functions – manages all employees of the function, responsible for the performance management and hiring of these employees within the function. Current span of control – 4: 1 HR officer, 1 Admin officer, 1 receptionist and 1 EHS officer; total employees in facility - 219
PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS/ ABILITIES & SKILLS
1. Minimum - Bachelor degree in any discipline
2. A minimum of 8 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in managerial/ supervisory role
3. A team player, experienced in working across various functions, ability to navigate through different personalities effectively, yet displaying professional maturity, strong integrity and trust
4. Able to keep information confidential
5. Good interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal). Basic English competency is required
6. Have a sense of urgency and is able to work under tight deadlines
7. Able to implement/ execute changes to increase productivity and employee satisfaction
8. Able to use data and analysis to solve people challenges (disciplinary, non-compliance, timeliness, etc)
9. Conduct hiring, training, performance management and compensation administration/ activities in a structured manner
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for recruitment and selection process: prepares job descriptions, writes and places advertisements and makes use of the most appropriate method for effective hiring, works with the hiring managers to screen and interview candidates, conducts reference checks, extends job offers, conducts new employee orientations, OJT plans, monitor probation performance, employee confirmation and employee exit interview analysis
2. Responsible for training and development: assesses training needs, develop annual training plan, hands on role in evaluating employees’ performance to decide if the workforce would benefit from training, identify areas where employees can improve through job related trainings (both internal and external) implementing the training plan in a structured manner to improve overall competence of employees
3. Responsible for employee performance management: facilitate the use of OPR2.0 performance management system, provide guidance to employees in the use of the system, follow corporate deadlines to complete all necessary review deadlines, prepares annual OPR review deck
4. Responsible for maintain current compensation& benefits plan, prepares annual merit budgets and review exercises including promotion evaluations/ review and suitable market adjustments, ensuring employee benefit programs to fit within budgetary requirements
5. Other administrative responsibilities:
n Implement and administer HR policy, prepares & updates handbook on policies and procedures
n Oversees the maintenance of personnel records, including Peoplesoft 2.0 updates and payroll supervision
n Ensure compliance with local labor laws
6. Responsible for employee relations – investigating & resolving workplace issues and employee complaints/ grievances
