The District (Sales) Manager is responsible for everything that happens in the Surface segment within China. He or she has a thorough understanding of what happened and why so that negative events can be avoided and positive events can be repeated. He or she finds creative ways to make money, using every tool at his or her disposal to maximize business return on assets. He or she knows the customers. He or she knows what the competition is doing and with whom, so that he or she can target incremental business. He or she knows business value and charges for it. He or she develops talent because he or she knows that good people make the customer happy and make everyone’s job easier. He or she collects receivables because he or she understands that without cash there can be no investment.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop financial estimates based upon past performance, current action plans and future
    market expectations.
  • Review P&L performance against budget/estimates and develop thorough explanations for variances.
  • Create action plans to address negative and enhance positive financial variances.
    Take action to prevent or eliminate AR issues.
  • Look for opportunities to leverage assets to improve share, sales and profitability.
    Creatively approach tenders to position the organization as the winner.
  • Assess the competitive landscape, market conditions and strengths. Develop strategies to determine the intersection of and align corporate value with the highest volume and most profitable business available.
  • Coordinate corporate efforts, across segments and Geomarkets, to deliver on that alignment.
  • Maintain personal contact with key buyers and influencers in the Geomarket
    Co-develop corporate response to RFP’s in the Geomarket with the SUR MEA Product Manager.
  • Triangulate market price and specific value proposition with sales team.
    Complete all CRM work in a timely fashion.Maintain service levels above customer expectations.
    Set performance expectations and monitor compliance.
  • Maximize the utilization of all field service personnel and assets in China
    Maintain relationships with other functions, segments and groups to make best use of and leverage available resources.
  • Maintain a functional knowledge of corporate products. Participate in outside training that broadens your understanding of marketing principles.
  • Participate in industry functions that broaden your understanding of market conditions or technology and process advances.

Job Requirement:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Field Service experience with Surface Wellhead, Subsea Christmas Tree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Demonstrated successes in sales of Oil & Gas products and services.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken Chinese, and English
    Aggressive and dynamic
    Chinese & English speaking
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial principles through previous operation or customer management experience or education.
  • Technical and/or Commercial degree.
  • Demonstrated leadership in sales and/or service. Effective communication and presentation skills.
    Engaging strong interpersonal relationships.
