Global category management:
- Global category management of courier services and staff relocation services.
- Monitor global suppliers performance and ensure compliance to KPI’s and SLA’s. Regular review meetings with global suppliers.
- Communication with stakeholders globally.
- Ensure global compliance to frame agreements and follow through during discussions with stakeholders and suppliers on implementation.
- Lead discussions between suppliers and stakeholders on disputes in key cases.
- Proactively monitor the global supplier market and develop expert knowledge in your categories.
Sourcing projects
- Negotiate global or regional purchase- and service agreements with suppliers
- Monitor supplier’s performance and ensure on-time delivery
- Contribute to setting up supplier engagement plans and develop category strategies
- Establish Total Cost of Ownership analyses and evaluation
- Identify best practices and process optimization opportunities
- Co-operate closely with lead buyers to achieve strategic objectives in cost leadership.
- Ensure general agreement and contract coordination, including the monitoring of deadlines and milestones
- Proactively monitor the market development
The ideal candidate has:
- Strong communication skills with suppliers and stakeholders
- Good negotiation skills
- Professional English skills both verbally and written
- Strong MS Office package skills, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- International mindset
- Organized, well planned
- Good business sense with an ability to foresee opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to convert findings into convincing presentations
- Insight in global courier and staff relocation market is desirable but not a prerequisite
Due to the scope of work, travel domestic as well as some international has to be expected.
You will be responsible for global category management within your scope as well as regional or global new sourcing initiatives. New projects will require negotiating supplier agreements while ensuring world-class quality in the procurement process. The position will give you the opportunity to engage with a broad network throughout Maersk, thus providing you with exciting challenges as well as excellent opportunities for career development internationally.
