Kennametal is looking for a China Human Resources Leader. A role that is based in Shanghai. The role is responsible for delivery of HR services in China and across the three global Kennametal business – Industrial, Widia & Infrastructure.

Major Responsibilities
·Putting together processes and systems in plan and executing them, developing Talent and driving engagement across the China organization and being the spokesperson for the country contributing towards the global HR strategy will be some of the key deliverables for this role. This would broadly cover:
·Working closely with business management teams & APAC HR Leader to ensure the HR strategies, programs & priorities are aligned to support the direction of the business, and to enhance a world class team.
·Acting as a strategic Business Partner to the China Leadership Team to develop business objectives & plans and align the HR Strategies to deliver the business results. Drive the horizontal alignment of objectives, work and communications across the China organization by working closely with HR Mangers of the China HR Organization.
·Developing and implementing the people and performance management strategy that drives local business results at all levels and is aligned with Global HR, as well as the policies and processes that attract , Develop and retain talent.
·Monitor and assess employee engagement , develop plans for enhancing engagement levels as well as building an organization that builds talent, drives continuous improvement, reinforces the right behaviors and motivates individuals and teams to deliver Exceptional Business Results.
·Driving organization development, performance management, and team and leader effectiveness to deliver business results leading to Profitable growth with constant focus on having and efficient cost model.
·Ensuring that the Business is well supported through an efficient HR Service Delivery Model through processes, tools, technology and competent HR External Partners to support meeting the Business Objectives.
·Driving the HR and Business Transformation initiatives through an effective Change Management Process which drives and ensure smooth implementation of initiates with zero disruption to Business
·Partnering with Business & Centre of Excellence to build a learning organization, investing in the development of the skills and experiences the business needs to enable individuals and the teams to grow personally and professionally.
·Demonstrating a positive, collaborative and enthusiastic leadership style with focus on building & driving Team Behavior, as well as acting as a role model in both professional and personal conduct and providing courage when facing challenging situations.
·Attracting, developing and coaching the China HR team, building Cohesiveness and Team behavior and ensuring that all statutory and other company compliances are complied with at all times.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION: KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Ideal Experience
·The characteristics of the ideal candidate will be broadly as follows:
·Qualified HR Professional in terms of profession Education.
·Human resources experience in an industrial sector, but at least with experience overseeing HR within a manufacturing environment
·Experience working in reputable MNC companies and familiar with the intricacies of working in a Global structure
·Successful track record of managing a country HR organization, ideally covering the Greater China Scope
·At least 13-15 years of overall HR experience which should include experience of 3-5 years at an HR Leadership position.
·Fluency in English Language & Mandarin is key to the role.

·In a leadership role where it is easy to get dragged into day-to-day issues and lose sight of the big picture, the China HR Leader role will need to serve as a true business partner to the Country Management team, as well as the global Leaders with Teams in the Region by:

·Working closely with Region & Corporate HR to align strategy implementation, building a high-performance HR team.
