The Business Manager is responsible for maximizing and developing sales for a given region and a customer portfolio.
Job Description:
Achieve sales targets for his area or customers
Negotiate Sales conditions (Contract, product specifications, price, quantities, incoterm, service level, ... )
Ensure invoices are paid on time
Make appropriate information readily available to customer service and in the IT systems (SAP contract, ..,)
Is accountable for the elaboration and the achievement of the budget
Represent PROCELYS for his area or customers
Profnute PROCELYS products to the given market and customers according to business plan
Act as the main point of contact for the customers and coordinate internally
Support the marketing activities for his region (participate tc trade shows, distributor events, communication)
Be the Account Manager for the customers / Internal customer
Support company positions and communication to customer
Be responsible for the client welcoming d uring customer event (visit, audit, etc.)
Coordinate with Quality Department smeoth answers are provided to quality complains and questionnaires
Consult frequently customer service and supply chain information is available to them and that service provided (Lead time, OTIF, ...) match agreed conditions
Prepare innovation brief and circulate internally innovation ideas
Keep stakeholders (production, finance, ... ) informed of general business situation
Business Development
Collect sales brief from customers and potential customers to the internal organization
Ensure the internal organization is appropriately informed of his customers needs and requests
S&OP and Forecasting
I s Responsible that accurate customer demand is available in the II” tools.
Participate to the S&OP process by validating data in forecasting tool,
Manage customer expectations in terms of lead times and in case of supply tensions
Market knowledge
Collect and circulate competitors information, activities and samples
Support marketing in market research activities and business analysis
Reports quickly in CRM customer meeting,
F"articipate to sales & management meeting upon request to explain the situation in his territory
Is accountable to report about customer consumptions, volumes and prices
The territory is defined for the Business Manager as a list of countries or region The coverage can also include a list of accounts to take care of.
Job Requirements——
Education :
The Business Manager will hold a Bachelor's degree frcm 4 year college or university in biology, microbiology or in a life-science related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills & Competencies :
Selling skills particularly in B-to-B environment such as negotiation skills, aCcoun I planning, etc. Understand basic financial concepts such as contribution margin, fixed and variable costs, etc.
Excellent communication (ver6al and written) skills : ability to listen and understand verbal and nun-verhal message from customers, ability to effectively corr\ mur icate internally.
Self-motivated / self-started: the person shall be able to push himself to achieve results above the target in a dynamic environment and to motivate the rest cf the organization behind his projects.
Team player: able to build strong relationship with other internal and external stakeholders such as Quality Dpt, R&D, Operations both at local and corporate levels.
Dependability: Follows instructions, i e?ponds to management direction; 1”akes responsibility for own actions; weeps commitments, Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; Organizes or schedules other people and their tasks;
Good language skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have good, general computer literacy and good l?nowledge and understanding of a CRM and an ERP operating system.
