Headquartered in Copenhagen, Maersk Group Procurement coordinates procurement for the A.P.Moller – Maersk Group. Since 2001, we have been developing long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with a large number of suppliers across the world.

Maersk Group Procurement is responsible for sourcing goods and services in the Group, selecting suppliers and negotiating agreements. Once the agreements are in place, the various business units in A.P.Moller – Maersk typically deal directly with the supplier. To support our growth and strategy Group Procurement’s Shanghai-based team is looking for a Senior Category Manager with experience within Capex for our container factories to focus on strategic procurement activities such as:
- Manage projects (procurement activities through local Capex procurement resources) in line with budget and ensures delivery on time, on budget
- Report to Capex Board on progress – enabling regular and transparent Capex decision making processes globally
- Manage overall (global and local) Capex procurement strategy for our container factories
- Manage supplier relationship globally
- Negotiate commercial agreements
- Stakeholder collaboration on many different levels

Key Responsibilities:
 
You will - in close co-operation with different stakeholders, e.g. MDs, CFO, technical, QA, production, procurement council, local Capex resources(dotted line reports into you) - be involved in creating and implementing strategies - primarily within the Capex category for our container factories that will include:
 
- Take the lead in formulating and executing procurement strategies
- Gather and analyze business and market intelligence for strategic decisions making
- Own the business process of Capex procurement and be the custodian of adherence to guidelines
 
On an operational level you will also be involved in:
 
- Track and manage both contracts and contract compliance
- Active collaboration and engagement with suppliers
- Apply procurement tools and process to secure the best deal for company
- Ensure strategic fit and risk management
- Support local organization on project preparation (investment request) and project execution
  
Who we are looking for:
 
You have been actively involved in strategic procurement activities for a minimum of 5-10 years where you have acquired experience in category management, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management or complex project management.
 
Preferably you have knowledge of managing Capex projects in factories.
