Position summary



NPI PE Manager is responsible for coordinating all new products (remote control and/or home security products) within the Production Engineering group. This will require a high degree of communication between the various stakeholders of the NPI process: both inter-departmental and inter-regional. This person will draw upon his/her experience to make sure that milestones are met, best-practices are incorporated, and PE-specific experts are involved as necessary (e.g. automation, lean, test-development, design-for-manufacturing). This position will be the primary project manager on behalf of the Production Engineering team.



Job Description

· Interface closely with the Project Management group, as well as other interdependent groups.

· Maintain the schedule and progress of Production Engineering requirements/milestones for new products.

· Oversee and delegate to groups of NPI engineers at each factory to execute on NPI plan.

· Coordinate with other Production Engineering groups to draw upon expertise when necessary.

· Responsible to improve efficiency and increase the speed of the NPI process from a Production Engineering perspective.

· Provide recurring updates to management team as to outstanding issues and key milestones.

· Drive the technical root-cause analysis of products in the NPI stage.



Requirement

· Proficiency in English at national level 4 or above.

· Bachelor Degree or above in Engineering discipline. MBA is considered a bonus.

· At least 10 years of working experience with Engineering or Project Management, with at least 3 years’ experience in managerial level.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high degree of organization.

· Experience in Lean/Six sigma practice is bonus

· Technical expertise and prior experience in CM electronic environment e.g. Plastic injection / SMT / COB / Wave soldering / Final assembly is plus

· Computer Skills, including MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Project.
