· Develops GUI software solutions using C#/.NET, Java, Python and C++.
· Develops software solutions of both Windows and Linux operating systems.
· Develops and maintains the Test Automation requirements, including input from all stakeholders.
· Develops solutions utilizing XML, web services in both distributed and embedded architectures.
· Works with development community to ensure software products have the interfaces needed to automate the testing of the products.
· Develops and documents code for test automation following the software development process. Reports, analyzes, debugs and corrects defects. Integrates with other components, solving problems across subsystems and products to produce a final product. Responsibilities may extend to the technical management of the design, testing and integration of other engineer’s work in related areas.
· Participates in reviews of documents, designs, code, test cases and user documentation.
· May establish and gather work estimates and status reports from other software test automation developers. Maintains adequate interaction with the automation developers to ensure that currently assigned tasks are prioritized appropriately.
· Keeps current and well-informed on new developments in computer engineering, test automation, company interests and company products through a variety of sources (i.e. contacts with educational institutions, professional societies, peers in other company divisions, technical papers, periodicals, industry trade shows, etc.) Investigates applicable technologies and techniques. Introduces promising technologies and techniques into the organization. Wins the support of management and acceptance by the rest of the organization for new technologies and techniques through influence.
