Job Description
Job Title: Senior Sales Engineer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Grow and develop sales of Smalley products in multiple markets including but not limited to automotive, aerospace, medical and industrial within China by:
- Developing new customers
- Coordinating and conducting customer visits
- Working with customers and Smalley USA internal company departments on a daily basis in order to effectively communicate engineering details to customers, provide customer support and manage customer relationships from marketing to quotation through follow-up
- Working as a liaison between Smalley USA and existing customers in China
o Technical support via phone and email
o New business opportunities
o Expanding accounts
o Account management
o Prospecting on behalf of Smalley USA
- Working with customers during the purchasing process (payment terms and conditions, order management, shipping, quality)
- Preparing for and attending trade shows as needed; supporting marketing campaigns, as needed
- Frequent travel within China (30 to 50%)
- Additional responsibilities as key backup for Tianjin Smalley’s General Manager, as needed


Qualifications
Education, Experience and Additional Criteria
-Bachelor's or associate’s degree from two-year minimum University in engineering or engineering related field; or bachelor’s degree from four-year minimum University in business so long as combined with at least 5 years of experience in industrial/technical sales
-Minimum 5 years related business/sales experience
-Technical aptitude
-Manufacturing experience preferred
-Fluent in Chinese & English both verbally and written
-Interest in taking on additional responsibilities, as needed as a key member of Tianjin Smalley’s new and growing office
-Proactive and motivated self-starter
-Some experience with industrial products is a plus but not required
-Supervisory experience is a plus
-Valid passport for possible travel outside China


Language Skills/Chinese & English
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
