Job duties:
1. To function as Management Representative and to ensure compliance with requirements of ISO
9001:2008 and other certifications as required for business.
2. To ensure that Quality Management System is effectively implemented and effectively
maintained.
3. To develop and establish quality procedures
4. To ensure all incoming materials and finished products, testing is in line with the quality
systems and to coordinate activities with other departments.
5. To ensure that the Quality System is in place by way of effective Internal Quality Audits,
and Training.
6. To give continuous and timely feedback to the Management on Supplier Quality / Process
issues to correct the same.
7. To respond to the customer complaints in timely manner & ensure that the processes are
corrected to avoid the recurrence.
8. Liaison with QA Managers of Suppliers and in BIESSE SPA, to address quality issues.
9. To provide support to Technical and Purchase to establish CTQs, Process/Quality Plans,
improve supplier Process Capability and sustain Continuous Improvement.
10. To facilitate the top Management in convening the Management Review Meeting and Product
Problem Committee Meeting at regular interval.
11. To report the performance of the quality system/suppliers and supplier audits to top
Management for review.
12. To ensure all testing / inspection equipment are maintained to perform reliably and to be
in line with technology improvement in Industry.
13. To maintain and update quality systems in a way that can enable the Company to face quality
audits by any notified body relevant to industry at any point of time.
14. To ensure that appropriately trained inspectors perform QA/QC functions.
15. To develop and motivate executives in QA dept. with on Company’s vision to be the best
machine manufacturer in the world. To inspire with clear vision of how things can be done
better.
16. To study process problems during internal and supplier audits, daily testing and external
test data and initiate corrective action and develop process improvement plans for sustained
improvement of Quality both within the Company and at Supplier’s premises
17. To establish performance objectives for Quality and develop continuous improvement plans to
achieve the same.
18. Function of Quality Assurance is to ensure that appropriate quality levels are maintained
in the Company to meet business objectives, customer requirement and hence ensure that we
deliver zero defect products to our customers.
19. To strive to take quality to a whole new level in industry and make it so special, so
valuable to our customer, so important to their success that our products become their only
real choice.
20. To investigate into customer complaints or product defects and initiate corrective action.
21. Safety of the work environment including people & properties of the company.
22. Implementation of PDCA and Continuous improvement.
23. Identify the Quality Management System (QMS) processes and Process owners in line with ISO
Define the Quality Management System processes.
24. Process Development: To help suppliers and in our shop floor to continuously improve
processing capabilities and thus enable reduction of rework as bring down rejects/defects to
zero.
25. New Products: To work with Technical and Assembly team in validation of new Products,
indigenization of components etc
26. Documentation: To generate and maintain all records with respect to Supplier Audits,
Customer complaint handling, process improvements, corrective action taken and thereafter on
the results of all actions initiated with the intention of improvement of the process and
resultant deliveries.
27. Identify high potential team members in the department and act as mentor to bring them up
in the organisation with the support of HRD.
28. Understand the present and future manpower competency requirements of the team members and
ensure skill development to meet the demands of the business to maintain competitive edge of
the Company.
29. Understand the skills and competency of team members and plan for career enhancement
opportunities in consultation with superiors and ensure effective team work in the assigned
assembly line.
30. Understand the business requirements and set SMART goals for the team members and review &
train them on a day-to-day basis to meet the set targets.
31. Review periodically the team members’ performance against the set goals and provide an
adequate support in the cases of poor performance.
32. Understand the Company’s policy and procedures and ensure team members adherence to the
same without compromising.
33. Set the standards and lead by example.
34. Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of the Purchase documents, products, standards,
technology, trade practices, etc.
35. Handle any other responsibilities assigned by the superior / management based on the
organizational requirement.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 10 years of hands on experience in handling quality related functions.
2. Experience in manufacturing setup will be an added advantage.
3. Should work as MR for at least 3-5 years.
4. Strong analytical skills to summarize raw data for making logical conclusions to enable
management to take better decisions in quality related issues.
5. Process knowledge in machining, various types of castings and material treatment.
6. Leadership skills and professional approach.
7. Proficient verbal & written communication in English language
8. Good track record of performance, grasping and attitude
9. High level of self motivation and ability to work independently.
10. Good rapport within and outside the team.
11. Communication and presentation skills
12. Good planning and organizing skills.
13. Good grasping and analytical skills.
14. Good problem solving and decision making ability.
15. Good documentation and eye-for-details.
16. Good value system and personal integrity.
