Job Description:
The Quality Manager of Protean Tianjin will be responsible for establishing, developing and improving the quality management system, preparing Weekly/ Monthly quality report, providing guidance and trainings to subordinates, conducting customer / internal / 3rd party audit, performing quality data analysis, monitoring and reporting the compliance of customer related requirements, such as, VDA6.3, ISO/TS16949, ISO14001,and so on. He/she will work with the management team of Tianjin plant to achieve the above roles and responsibilities. The person should exhibit a managerial style promoting openness, problem ownership, data driven decision-making and teamwork.
Developing standards and systems for inspection, testing, and evaluation in compliance with ISO/TS16949:2002.
Manage the internal audit process, including development of a procedure, establishment of training requirements for internal auditors, tracking internal audit reports, and sharing of lessons learned.
Complete all required reports on time and with accuracy.
4. Being responsible for creating, maintaining and updating Quality System Documentation.
5. Being responsible for managing customer specifications and developing corresponding Protean specifications to ensure compliance with customer and Protean requirements.
7. Directing workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data
concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
8. Compiling and writing training material and conducts training sessions on quality
assurance activities.
9. Managing customer complaints including logging complaints, controlling further
processing and closing corrective action reports after verification of the effectiveness of corrective action.
10. Being responsible for monthly tracking and reporting of customer quality measurable
11. Leading the advanced quality planning.
12. Providing guidance on quality systems and quality tools.
13. Being responsible for evaluating suppliers compliance to quality system. Monitoring of supplier capability. Recommendation of corrective action for observed deficiencies.
14. Being responsible for new project development management and product process control, monitor APQP & PPAP process, establishing and maintaining a stable process quality control system, ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction
15. Being responsible to establish annual quality targets and review the performance frequently for continuous quality improvement.



Qualifications:
1. Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Engineering or its equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 years experience of quality control in automotive industry, experience in
engine / drive motor related product area will be plus.
3. Knowledge of quality standards such as TS16949/ISO14001.
4. Technical drawing knowledge.
5. Familiar with TS 16949 Management tools such as APQP, PPAP, Problem Analysis
Tools, SPC, MSA, 8D, Control Plan, FMEA, etc.
6. Good interpersonal communication skills; Extensive product knowledge; Good command
of written and oral English; Basic presentation and negotiation skill; and willing to learn.
7. Strong understanding and ability to implement Quality tools.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills, especially communications skills (oral and written), the
ability to influence the behavior of peers
9. Creative and innovative thinking. Ability to initiate, lead and sustain change.
10. Strong data-driven decision-making skills.
11. Project Management skills and experience.
