Retail Banking and Wealth Management

Retail Banking and Wealth Management leverages HSBC’s global retail banking expertise and wealth management capabilities to deliver a broad range of world-class retail banking solutions to millions of customers. Driving for growth in key markets around the world, the business comprises areas such as retail banking, wealth management, insurance and asset management, with a focus on customer-centric propositions and innovative and efficient distribution channels that will differentiate our customer experience and deliver market leading retail banking and wealth management solutions.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role.

In this role, you will:

- The role has overall responsibility for the country Managed Products category, including open-ended, close-ended and alternative Mutual Funds, strategic Asset Allocation models, Exchange-Traded Funds, Investment-Linked Products and Discretionary Products, with an emphasis on product strategy development and management, product portfolio management, client portfolio penetration, product risk rating management, enabled through influencing platform and Wealth System requirements development for Controlled Advice, with ownership of the Country product P&L.

- The role has responsibility for developing an analytical framework working with COR MI Analytics team to identify, prioritize and recommend research-theme based product solutions to meet clients financial needs, investment time horizon, and risk capacity, to support Group’s trusted advisor positioning.

- Product controls, concentration risk management and a robust approvals process are essential to complementing provider and product due diligence screening by HSBC Group appointed Centre of Reference (AMG, GM). The role therefore requires interface with global, Country and Country teams across Wealth, Risk, Product Control, Credit, Operations and Technology, and Group Centres of Reference, as well as Sales & Distribution, Proposition and Marketing functions to deliver competitive solutions that meet client needs.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

- Bachelor or above education background

A minimum of 5 years proven experience in Financial Industry, experience in Asset Management or JV Trust Companies is preferred

Fluent English and Mandarine are necessary

The individual is expected to provide strong leadership in the implementation of the ASP & Group Wealth Management strategy to become the leading provider of Wealth Management services to HSBC affluent clients, and also to drive the country team to the Group standard.

- This role provides inputs to ASP & Group Policy, implements ASP & Group Strategy and is responsible for Country execution. It is a product leadership role and is accountable for the performance of the Country Managed Products teams.

- Success of the role depends on highly effective working relationship with multiple stakeholders, ability to influence and build consensus is key.
